This is a motel, not a hotel. Transients rooted through garbage outside, walked through parking lot from bus depot past a propped open back door to the rooms, while kids drank beer on the hillside behind the hotel. We felt unsafe and forfeited the 2nd night in Nanaimo. Staying at this hotel shed a dim light on the entire town for us.

Positives: Room was clean.

Negatives: Located in a very rundown and unsafe area and in between a liquor store and a bus depot. Doors, including back doors were left standing open until 11pm.
