Travelodge is a hotel located in Nanaimo.

The city of Nanaimo is in the center of Vancouver Island, it is the gateway to the Island. Just an hour away from all the major cities on the Island, the Travelodge is centrally located in Nanaimo just 2 minutes away from the BC Ferry Terminal and the downtown core. 35 Km West of Vancouver via a one hour and thirty-five minute ferry ride.

We are close to everything, excellent dining, malls, shopping, golf, oceanside walkway, and scenic harbor parks. The Travelodge Nanaimo is completely renovated.

We offer standard, deluxe, and kitchen suites some with air conditioning. Most rooms have private balconies, interior corridors and cable TV's.

Nearby restaurants include White Spot, Baby Salsa Express, Marina’s Taverna And Pizza, and Quizno’s Classic Subs.

The only reason I am filling out this review is because of my dis-satisfaction of the customer services provided. My wife & 8 month old daughter checked into the hotel while I was doing business. They were checked into the second level of the travel lodge which happened to be the only level without elevator access? Generally that would not be an issue but when I heard how my wife unloaded our SUV and made repeated trips thru the lobby, past the front desk, up two flights of stairs, down the hall, back down the hall, down two flights of steps, past the front desk and back out to the SUV with an 8 month old and not one of the three staff in the lobby offered assistance? I was a bit disappointed.

Positives: Close to local amenities.

Negatives: No elevator.

Negatives: Building was old, so noise went through when others become loud and when taking showers.

I would stay here again but think they should deodorize the rooms better.

Positives: it is in a great location, close to everything.

Negatives: When entering our room it had a terrible stale smell to it.
