Ospreys, river otters, seals, sometimes grey whales, eagles, kingfishers and sandpipers are at home on this coastline. You will chance to see a deer walking on the beach in the early morning hours. A black bear could stroll by. Wolfs and cougars are not so easy to see, but their presence can sometimes be felt. We can only describe the feeling of their proximity as one of 'heightened awareness'.
