It's satisfactory overall.

Positives: Comfort of the beds.

Negatives: Clearance

The hotel was good and room was nice. The staff where friendly however the internet access was slow more than likely due to usage from other guests.

Positives: Good location and friendly staff.

Negatives: Internet access was slow.

The amenities were fine. The hotel staff needs to ensure that outer side entrances are not used after midnight.

Positives: Check-out time isn't until noon.

Negatives: We were kept awake all night by people banging on an outside door at the end of the hallway.

The rooms are somewhat small. Overall a nice hotel, however, there was construction right outside our door during both days which made for a very noisy stay. The room was also right by the elevators, resulting in a lot of traffic noise also. The rooms have no small fridge or microwave.

Positives: Location to Highway 2.

Negatives: Rooms were small and the construction was very noisy.

Staff is wonderful, the beds comfortable. Rooms are clean. The bathrooms need updating and the internet is atrocious, however, very good value, and a good place to quarterback some great and fun outings. I actually like the outside entrance for the rooms for ease in moving all the ski gear. However, I think that it feels more along a 3.5 star very upscale motel rather than a four star resort because of the lack of bellmen and inside room access.

Positives: The staff is just great, friendly, caring, and helpful.

Negatives: The internet connection is antiquated and needs updating in a bad way!

The Canmore Radisson was very nice and a great value. It is only 15 minutes from Banff, but is much less expensive than Banff hotels. Highly recommended.

Positives: Close to Banff but much less expensive.

Negatives: Parking lot was very dark.

Good basic room with all normal amenities - ironing board, TV Internet hookup coffee machine and super clean new shower wash room facilities. Helpful staff. Unfortunately an outdoors walk is required to access the lovely, clean well equipped fitness center, pool, hot tub steam room. the tread mill was out of order.

Positives: No hassles, great washroom, and fitness center.

Negatives: A lot of people noise coming from corridor each of 3 nights.

Good clean hotel, centrally located in Canmore, but with staff that are not well trained in customer service. Restaurant is overpriced, particularly taking into account the fairly low quality of service provided by staff.

Positives: Clean and well located.

Negatives: Staff was young, inexperienced both at front desk and in restaurant and not customer oriented.

Excellent value, great location, and friendly staff.

Positives: Quality of bed.

Negatives: Pool washroom was not clean enough.

This is a perfect hotel to stay with a very reasonable price!

Positives: Good location. Friendly staff. Big rooms with comfortable beds and nice swimming pool.

Negatives: Nothing.

I hate to dwell on the negatives but it's hard to ignore dirty carpets, odd smells, cramped rooms (especially the bathroom) and the absolute atrocious water quality of the pool and hot tub. The pool water was cloudy and they obviously compensate for that by throwing in a whole lot of chlorine. The hot tub has a thick layer of foam and scum - this is grease, oil and skin cells people! Don't let your kids make a Santa beard out of it! Front desk staff were friendly and helpful but I found the rest of the workers aloof at best. One was even smoking a cigarette right outside the door to the courtyard and we had to walk through a thick cloud of his smoke to get to the pool. It was fine for one night but if I had been booked for more I would have been looking for other accommodations. Apparently the restaurant is good but we did not eat there.

Positives: Friendly, helpful front desk staff.

Negatives: Pool water quality was poor. Hot tub was disgusting.

The front reception staff was pleasant. The rooms were nice and modern. However, we attended supposedly the "best Sunday brunch" and I believe it was the worst Sunday brunch in Canada. They didn't even have toast!! There were no staple items such as French toast, pancakes, toast, bagels, breakfast pastries, eggs Benedict, etc. For a $20 brunch I expect better quality than steamed egos!

Positives: Room quality

Negatives: Room size, horrible sunday brunch

This hotel was a little disappointing. We expected a nicer, more romantic place to vacation. The steakhouse on premises was disappointing. It was too expensive for tasteless food. We had a great time on our holiday and the hotel was just a place to stay overnight but it would have been nice to have had an even nicer place. Overall it was just okay.

Positives: It was a good price and staff was friendly.

Negatives: My boyfriend and I got engaged during this trip and when the smallest thing would have made us feel special that the hotel could have done, they didn't.

We got a good room rate through Priceline. We stayed for two days and were pleased. The room and the bath room are clean and good sizes, but the bed is too soft for us. The hotel provides refrigerator and coffee maker with coffee. The hallway and the elevator area are stained and worn out. The location is not far from the highway we mainly visited Banff and very close to the supermarkets. The inner hotel looked rather dated. If you don't mind the look, it is a good value place to stay.

Positives: The room is clean, quiet and easy to find.

Negatives: The hall way and the elevator carpets are dirty and worn out.

Good, quiet location not too close to the train tracks. Basic rooms with basic amenities. Good for a quick stay.

Positives: The beds are comfortable.

Negatives: The toilet didn't work when we arrived, but it was fixed promptly.

I would have been nicer to have the hot tub/swimming pool and exercise room under the same roof as hotel, so you didn't have to walk outside to get to it.

Positives: Very quiet for sleeping.

Negatives: Noisy fan that kicked on during the night.

Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 13 Jan 2009 rated 7 out of 10.

This is not somewhere I would return to. There are plenty of decent hotels that have as much to offer.

Positives: I liked the sleep number beds.

Negatives: They did a poor job of cleaning the room each day.

We stayed for a total of 3 nights and the housekeeping staff did not clean the room, stock or clean the coffee, or make the bed. We called and asked for service and received none. We were in a group attending a wedding that stayed at a nearby hotel that was way cleaner.

Positives: The location to downtown was good.

Negatives: Filthy rooms and poor service.

This hotel caters to tour groups and a bus was started at 6 am and the engine ran for an hour. The hotel is not taken care of. It needs to be inspected often. The toilet in our room broke (seat). The room had been refurbished but there was damage to the public areas. There was a complimentary breakfast that we were not told about. I would use another hotel next time. This was overpriced and had careless management.

Positives: Nicely decorated.

Negatives: Toilet not cleaned. Carpets in hallway badly stained. Walls were damaged.

Just minutes away from Banff, reasonable prices (relatively speaking), courteous staff. The whirlpool/pool was great for relaxing the sore body after long days of hiking in Banff. The sleep number bed was very comfortable and good for my back. The room, though, was a little cramped, dingy and with badly stained carpeting.

Positives: Hot tub/swimming pool was great after a long day of hiking. The bed (sleep number) was very comfy.

Negatives: The room was dingy with stained carpeting.

The Canmore Radisson has a main building and two back buildings. It is an outside walk type of accommodations. The hotel requires repairs and is not a deluxe hotel. We would not recommend it to anyone that was looking for a four or five star place. Possibly a 2.5 star.

Positives: The dining room was fine and the beds were comfortable.

Negatives: We thought it was a more deluxe hotel so did not expect peeling paint, many burnt out light bulbs. A hot tub that only partially worked etc.

One of the nicer hotels in Canmore. Far enough from the train tracks that they won't disturb you. Overall, a nice hotel with great staff.

Positives: Good breakfast. Can adjust firmness of beds.

Negatives: First room was cold and hot water wasn't working.
