Loved the location, right across from the Calgary Tower. The room had a working A/C that kept the room nice & cool during the heatwave, unlike some other hotels. I loved having the fridge standard in-room, without having to request one be sent up. Great experience!
Positives: Great location, loved the Bath & Body Works amenities, A/C worked great.
Negatives: No self-park, though the Telus Convention Center parking lot is not far away.

Positives: Good Downtown location, near restaurant row and nightlife.
Negatives: $35.00 to park vehicle.

Parking a nightmare cost $35.00 internet cost extra $16.00 should all be included for cost of this 4 star hotel restaurant closed at 9.00 pm. no restaurants open after 9.00 for late travelers. I would not stay here again.
Positives: Rooms nice front desk clerk friendly.
Negatives: Parking cost $35.00 internet cost $16.00 should be free.

It's location, and presentation were exceptional for my needs. My three days there were extremely delightful. I had my 14 year old daughter and she had a wonderful time as well. The beds were the most comfortable I have ever slept on. More comfortable than my own bed at home, which is very rare in a hotel.
Positives: The decor, ambiance, quality far exceeded my expectations.
Negatives: Having to pay for parking. I felt I was being extorted.

Positives: The softness of the linens and pillows on the beds.
Negatives: The quality of the room service breakfast.

I stayed at this hotel many times. And
I really like it. I find that this Marriott is very much brand new, very good trained staff, amazing gym. However there is construction right in front of hotel and this is really loud. If you have a car that is parked at the valet parking only part of the time, they will try to charge you for the whole stay. They say they make sure that the car is every night in the parking lot. Well this is not true. They do not do it. I had twice the same problem. The next time
I will just tell them every time the car leaves that they have to tell the reception. Communication is kind of
odd in this case and I really like when everything is very good organized. I would recommend Marriott beyond Hyatt Regency in Calgary any time.
Positives: Rooms, gym is amazing, hot tub and swimming pool are nice, everything is brand new.
Negatives: There is construction right in front of the hotel. Its very loud from the early morning.

The Marriott Hotel, Calgary is a great hotel. I love the hot tub/pool/exercise room - the late hours, the pool is available, makes time for private hot tub/pool time. The food at their restaurant in the lobby was amazing - the best meatloaf and mashed potatoes I've ever had! Plus, Starbucks for breakfast hit the right spot. The view from our room is across from the Calgary Tower - it was neat to see the row of lights on top and to see the mountains in the background. We rented a movie from the pay-per-view TV and enjoyed candy in bed that we purchased from the lobby store. We had a romantic, fun, easy time and look forward to visiting again. The price was right and is so easy to find downtown.
Positives: Restaurant food, hot tub/pool/exercise, location, super friendly.
Negatives: I can't think of anything that I didn't like, I love this hotel!

The location was great, the room was too clean and cozy. I just did not like their double bed as it is too small and narrow. I wish they do have queen beds in the double bed rooms.
Positives: Location was perfect, the room was too clean.
Negatives: The beds are very narrow.

A
general middle of the road American-type hotel that is homoginized and would probably look the same wherever it was located
Positives: Down town central location.
Negatives: No parking facility in hotel, expensive to park 2 blocks away.

Nice location. Convenient parking at the hotel. They provide valet parking or you can park your car at a public lot. Valet is cheaper, but hotel was unaware of that. Overall a very nice hotel, but the bed was uncomfortable.
Positives: Very helpful staff.
Negatives: Beds and pillows were very uncomfortable.

My family and I had an excellent stay, enjoyed the pool, hot tub, exercise room, and the rooms. Staff were especially patient with the grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, we had three rooms, and were coming and going all the time.
Positives: The staff was right there asking you if they could do anything for you, and if they could be of any help to you with anything were very genuine.
Negatives: Cannot think of anything that I did not like.

The Marriott Calgary Hotel has very comfortable accommodations located at the very heart of downtown Calgary.
Positives: The room was extremely clean and had comfortable bedding.

Overall, our experience was very good. The only concern was that secure parking was a few blocks away and we had to pay for parking by the hour.

Negatives: Secure parking was a few blocks away.

I wouldn't stay here again as the rooms were on the smaller side, no fan in the bathroom, you can only get double beds if you have two beds, no queens available.
Positives: Staff were great, lobby was nice, outside front well lit.
Negatives: Didn't like the room, older building, smaller rooms, only double beds.

Nice hotel, clean and recently upgraded. Multiple restaurants in complex, with more very short walk away. Great pool area, very clean. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Positives: Great location, friendly staff, terrific amenities.
Negatives: Geared to business travel, wires dangling from TV, single serve coffee etc.
