Location was great. Staff was amazing. Restaurant was understaffed and small. Common areas were very nice plus it helped to have a Starbucks. Room was way too small, even by European standards.
Positives: Staff was extremely pleasant which is much better than most upscale Canadian hotels.
Negatives: Bathroom was so small it was uncomfortable to move around in. Overall room was small as well.

Very comfortable hotel with a good bar and excellent restaurant. Great location convenient to downtown and businesses.
Positives: Location
Negatives: Lack of common area for group meeting.

We had a towel with a blood stain in our room hotel was slow to replace and gave a restaurant certificate for less than the cost for 3 of us to eat. The toilet broke and the tap water came out yellow on the 2nd day we were there and we were charged $15 per day for inroom coffee which no hotel I've stayed in anywhere in the world has done before. Very disappointed in the Westin this time.
Positives: The restaurant staff was great and the room was comfortable
Negatives: Dirty towel with blood stains in room. Called for room supplies and were forgotten and $15 for Inroom coffee per day

The hotel was very nice, clean, friendly and comfortable beds. The bathroom was a little small. The air was very clean and liked their recirculation system. Overall very nice.

Negatives: Nothing.

Worse stay I have ever had at a hotel in Calgary. The room and service were nothing near the price I paid. No body wash, no soap after my first night stay. The cleaning staff took my book from the room and disabled my room key before I signed out and requested me to sign a lost and found form before they gave it to me. The management of the Westin Calgary should be ashamed!
Positives: The Starbucks
Negatives: The director of Rooms

A great location with very concientious staff, a modern foyer and a Keg Restaurant with very good food.
Positives: They upgraded us to a King Size Bed on a preferred executive floor.
Negatives: N/A

It was a wonderful hotel, very comfortable! Will be staying at the Westin next time I go anywhere!
Positives: Awesome beds! Soo comfortable!
Negatives: There was a loud whistling noise that woke me up from 6 - 7 am. Very annoying!

Worse stay I have ever had at a Starwood Hotel. Room looked old, dirty, with mold in the tub. The lobby was cold, and had no appeal. General Manager should be embarrassed! This should not be a Westin Hotel.
Positives: Starbucks.
Negatives: Hotel conditions.

Loved our experience. My in-laws liked their room. Clean and really comfortable. The Westin litte extras; like free drinks and apples at reception also bottled water in rooms. Small details really helped making our stay enjoyable! The bed at the Westin is totally the best, I travel for business and sleep in hotels 2-3 nights a week, this hotel is really oriented to customer satisfaction! Thank you!
Positives: Comfortable beds. The best. Friendly staff. Great location
Negatives: Include a voucher for parking or equivalent...quite pricey

For the price I paid, this hotel was great - good location, great lobby, good coffee in room, nice bedding. Didn't like that it was tired and old looking.
Positives: Business center allowed free airline check-in. Starbucks coffee in room!
Negatives: It needs to be updated. Old and worn looking bathroom.

Friendly staff and lovely atmosphere with a great pool and free boarding pass printing. The only reason I didn't give it a higher mark than I did was because #1 - the television didn't work, #2 - the fan in the bathroom didn't work, #3 - there wasn't any literature explaining check-out, the TV, or the pool. When I called down however, the staff was helpful and assistance was immediate. These things are bound to happen, but they really should be checked before new guests check in.
Positives: The bed was exquisite!
Negatives: The television didn't work.

They charge $20/day for parking even if you are a guest at the hotel. The pool was only 5'6" deep. They have a Westin kids club, but rarely have the activity packs according to the staff, and have to be reminded to send up the milk & cookies at night.
Positives: The location was easy walking to everything.
Negatives: Didn't have kids club packs, decor was too modern almost sterile.

The hotel was great, easy parking, great staff. overall very nice location and hotel. I would definitely stay again.
Positives: The room was great and they upgraded the room for free. very nice hotel.
Negatives: The washroom wasn't the greatest, bath tub was small.

It is certainly not a 4-star hotel. It is more like a 1-star. We have stayed in 2-star hotels that are much better than the Westin Inn in Calgary (the Marriot Fairfax Inns 2-star for example). The Calgary Westin Inn room was scuffed with dirt marks. The wallpaper was peeling, discolored and dirty. The bathroom did not appear clean and was worn out and had bits of hair here and there. The carpet seemed clean but judging by the rest of the room, it was a shoes on at all times kind of a room. We were in a non-smoking room and the hall smelled of stale cigarette smoke and around 10:00 pm, the smell of cigarette smoke was coming inn through the vent. My last 3 experiences with Calgary Hotels were quite bad and the worst hotel experience in my life was a Travelodge in Calgary South. The Westin wasn't nearly that bad, was barely worth the $ plus taxes etc, but is certainly not a 4-star hotel, not a 3-star hotel, and not even a 2-star hotel. Beware.
Positives: Comfy clean bed.
Negatives: Dirty worn out room.

I was on the 6th floor, right directly across from the elevator. Could not only hear all the noise from the elevator but also from the street and I would say the room was the smallest they had. Next to perhaps a broom closet. Was not very impressed. Would likely not stay there again.
Positives: Location.
Negatives: Would not upgrade to different room.

Great hotel, which has an outgoing staff, very comfortable and reasonably priced restaurant.
Positives: Great breakfast buffet.
Negatives: Location far from popular night spots.

It was excellent. We stayed at the business section, so internet and long distance phone calls were free of charger. Excellent! The location is convenient, but parking is a bit expensive, but it's still well worth it. Highly recommend!
Positives: Free long distance with North America.
Negatives: Parking is a bit expensive.
