I stayed at Super 8 in Windsor when Hurricane Earl was taking place.The power went out at 9am on the Sat and was out 3/4 of the time up until 8:30pm.The hotel had no generator and the emergency stairwell lights only functioned the first 10 min in the morning.Hotel staff also only checked on the hotel guests when the power first went out.We were not offered flashlights,the phones were not working and the stairwells were only lit by a few glow sticks.I was disappointed at the lack of concern given,I was an out of province guest with no car and everything in the town was shut down due to the power failure.I had to ask staff to please find us something to munch on as my kids were hungry.When some of the guests asked if they could have a discount being that the fridge,cable tv,pool,lights,phones etc were not able to be used the hotel staff smirked and were rude.
