Christie's Cape Breton Bed and Breakfast has been in business for over 50 years.. and it shows in it's excellence. They treated myself and my fiance like we were family members Our room (Captain's Room) has 2 Queen sized beds so comfy that you could not lie down and not fall asleep on them, a t.v., mini fridge, full closet, small writing desk, bureau and nightstands, On the same floor, we had a fully appointed kitchenette which would have allowed us to cook lunch/dinner for ourselves if we wished. We shared a bathroom with other guests, but it was really not a problem. The Inn was absolutely clean, comfortable, and well appointed. Jeanie was an absolute magician when it came to breakfast as it was glorious. The breakfast alone is worth the price of the stay! Garfield "Gary" Christie, when prompted, regaled us with stories of his life as a coal miner, in a way that was both informative and thought provoking. Such a warm and friendly family could not be found elsewhere. That and their loveable border collie Dusty (now 9 months old) who I'm swearing honestly believes HE is the host gives our hosts with the most the most bang for your buck. When i'm in the Cape Breton area, there will be nowhere else that I will wish to stay, and I will see them again next year.
