Captain Douglas House Inn & Restaurant was a bed & breakfast located in Maitland. The Captain Douglas House Inn and Restaurant is located in the picturesque village of Maitland, Nova Scotia. This comfortable inn and resturant is a heritage designated property built in 1860, by a sea captain named Captain William Douglas. Maitland was once the center of great ship building industry.
There are still many fine historical homes here that have been restored over the years.
Come and enjoy our great Nova Scotian hospitality, wonderful views and
friendly people. Have a fresh cup of coffee sitting beside the pond in
our garden out back. View the Shubenacadie River from our outside
deck.Walk down to the river and see the Tidal Bore make its way up the
river.The fresh air is great and the stars shine bright at night.
Fully licensed restaurant with home cooked meals, specializing in seafood, awaits you at the Captain Douglas House. The Captain Douglas House Restaurant is open from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm daily through the summer. Call ahead for winter hours. The Inn is always open to welcome guests.
