100 Acres & An Ox Country Inn is a bed & breakfast located in Barss Corner.

Our home is situated on 100 acres of lush forest, fields, orchards, and lakes. Walking trails will guide you to the water’s edge or lead you into a pristine forest. Sit in the shade, snug in our orchard or peacefully paddle the lake. All that defines Nova Scotia surrounds you - rolling green hills, blue waters, endless skies and stars, and incomparable sunsets.

Our beautifully appointed guest rooms, with private baths, are designed to replenish the spirit. A great book from the extensive “in-house library ”, a truly extravagant mattress and….”…ah sleep that knits up the unraveled sleeve of care…” (Shakespeare).

Whether by the lake or on the deck, in the orchard or deep on the forest trail, we invite you to come do your star gazing under “our” skies.

The Beds - As a guest in our home, you may chose from one of our four beautifully appointed rooms. Three of our rooms, the “Apple’, “Funky Fish” and “Loon”, feature a garden view and an unobstructed vista of fields, wildflowers, and forest. Each room is complemented with a three-piece private bath, a luxurious bed (beds), and a cozy chair to curl up in for an undisturbed “read”. The fourth, the spacious Rose Room, comes complete with a balcony overlooking Indian Lake. It features an authentic Nova Scotia sleigh bed and a four-piece private bath. The Inn also offers a library, sitting room, a grand deck and a host of little niches throughout the property where you can steal away and lose yourself in a good book!

The Breakfast - An exquisite breakfast of perhaps blueberry pancakes (freshly picked berries, of course), maple syrup, scones, and whipped cream will await you as you embark on your day’s adventures
