I you are looking for a comfortable hotel in the heart of some of the best Vancouver has to offer this one is great. The beach is a two min, walk away, great restaurants and shopping are all around.
Positives: The proximity to the beach, beds were very comfortable, staff was great.
Negatives: Room was hard to get cooled down and outside temperature was not warm at all.

Fair priced, good quality for a budget traveler. Excellent location in Downtown Vancouver, close to Stanley Park, the entertainment district and shopping. Lots of restaurants near by. A great place for the budget minded traveler.
Positives: Location and price.
Negatives: Too bad parking is never included in the price.

All rooms ending in-19 are small and crowded because of the proximity to the elevators. I actually got stuck between the double bed and the wall. To make room more spacious, consider the following: Put up flat screen TV, remove cabinet that used to hold a refrigerator, remove desk. Use a small café table and two chairs. Pub and restaurant is excellent.
Positives: It was convenient, it was clean, staff was polite and professional (but could not solve my problem).
Negatives: Two couples booked at the exact same time, and there was a large disparity in the quality of the rooms.

There is no pool. They charge $1.00 per day for a recycling fee so that should be noted.

I would give this hotel about 2 1/2 stars. The front desk staff were excellent but the bathroom was tiny and the room was only adequate. I did not like hearing busses and people going by all night and early morning. I probably would not stay at this hotel again.
Positives: The front desk staff were extremely helpful giving driving directions to the hotel.
Negatives: Too close to the street. Busses and people were going by our window all night and early in the a.m.
