Amenities

Kootenay National Park: (Floe Lake, The Rockwall Trail, Stanley Glacier, Paint Pots, Marble Canyon, Kindersley Summit, Sinclair Pass, ...). Sinclair canyon (the entrance to Radium Hot Springs and the Columbia Valley, just up the road from the hostel). Columbia River Wetlands: This is the longest continuous stretch of wetlands in North America, which means that it's a terrific place to see hundreds of species of birds from all over the continent. (There's even a "Wings over the Rockies" Bird Festival in Spring). Rocky Mountains, Purcell Mountains, Bugaboo Range, Top of The World Park, Height of the Rockies Park. Dutch Creek hoodoos: a terrific stretch of hoodoo formations towering 120m above Columbia Lake (bring your beach towel) Watch the eagles soaring in front of your nose. Golf courses all over the place (well, some people admire the landscaping). more wildlife than you can shake a stick at.

Radium Hostel (Misty River Lodge) is located on the boundary between Kootenay National Park and the village of Radium on highway 93. (just near the park gate)
