Clean, well kept location with comfortable, mid-scale plus rooms. Most rooms have a great view from the balcony and the location is adjacent to a boardwalk. Parking was $6/day. Common areas are fine but leave no lasting impression.

Positives: Clean, well appointed rooms; nice view.

Negatives: Location is some distance from downtown.

A nice hotel at a great place. Most of the hotel is located over the river and each room has a great view.

Positives: Great location on the water overlooking the Fraser River. Every room has a view!

Negatives: Access to the hotel by car is a bit difficult.

The hotel staff was very helpful and the room was very clean.

Positives: I really liked being on the water for the view and ambiance.

Negatives: It was hard to find the hotel entrance the first time.

Positives: Large comfortable bed.

Negatives: Construction over the road.

The room was very nice, very clean. The location is nice but not much to see or do in the area. Nice for a relaxing weekend.

Positives: The location of the hotel on the river and the Boardwalk is very nice.

Negatives: The whole area is under construction and many shops closed. The entrance is difficult to get into.

Amazing staff, luxury linens, flat screen TV, min bar and balcony- and most importantly, a huge working space and great desk chair await anyone staying here when visiting Vancouver. The toiletries were also so luxurious and delicious smelling. Chocolates with a note from management also greeted me each night, with a paper in the morning. I hung my breakfast choices on my door to be promptly served in the morning. The fitness center had it all, including a whirlpool (which, for this Texan, could have been warmer but was nice all the same). The lobby was beautifully decorated and inviting, complete with a fireplace! This hotel was a gem.

Positives: Beautiful decor, excellent services, great toiletries!

Negatives: High speed internet was spotty and slow.

Room was large with view of the river. Modern furniture in room. Hotel is currently undergoing renovations. Okay for the price.

Positives: Relatively close to Simon Fraser University.

Negatives: In midst of renovations so not as clean.

The Inn at New West Quay was very nice and clean and the room was spacious, but there were some older features like the old air conditioner as you can see in the pix it was built in the late 70's. The view of the water was good, but we did not feel a need to walk on the boardwalk or stay for the Market that only started after 11 am on weekends. The only really disappointing thing was that it was in the middle of a lot of residential towers and close to the train tracks, it made it really hard to get to and it was far from almost everywhere. Richmond was only 20 mins away but it was only because it was connected to the highway. It was really difficult to get to and from the Vancouver Downtown, and similar for Burnaby.

Positives: Very clean and spacious, nice views.

Negatives: Was very hard to get to and far from downtown!

The view from the rooms was excellent. Proximity to Downtown New Westminutester was awesome. However, the AC in our room didn't work. Attempts to talk to the night desk person or a manager did not result in the AC being fixed. We were provided a fan, and asked to crack a window open. They said they would get somebody to come and take a look at it, but it was clear they had not done that. It was not fixed the next day either. The room was pretty warm the first night, but luckily it cooled down on the second night. I am going to raise this issue with my credit card company.

Positives: The view from our room was good.

Negatives: The AC. No free parking. Unhelpful staff.

This hotel is a very nice upscale hotel. It has a nice layout and clean rooms (king suite). Hotel staff is friendly. $5 parking a day is ok but should be waived for a guest staying at your property. Outside noise was minimal but for late night train or tug boat whistle/horn which could be heard in rooms over the riverside. But the view over the quay/river is beautiful, nice local markets and walks. The facilities looked ok but the hot tub was dirty and not well kept. It might have been due to a party the night before. I have been a hotel IT/Maintenance manager for a 4 star hotel for 3 years previously and we would have spiked the pool with chlorine shock the night before to keep it clean and safe if we expected heavy usage. The water in this case looked unsanitary and not clear which cannot be helped in some cases due to heavy usage or guests that did not shower down before use. I would use this hotel again in the future though as the rooms are very clean which is all one ever needs a hotel for. Location wise could be better as it isn't far but not close either, 20 min drive to city centers.

Positives: View was excellent, room quality, cleanliness was excellent.

Negatives: Location is far off, train whistle or tug boat whistle late at night.

It is nice for the price, but location is not convenient. The train stop that goes to the Waterfront and Downtown. There is not much to do at the New Westminster. Taxi from airport is $50 each way. I expected something closer to the Center.

Positives: The room was good and clean.

Negatives: Location, too far from the Downtown and Airport.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was close to the Sky Train so we could just hop on it to go where we wanted to go. The rooms were cozy and it was great to stand on the balcony and look outside at the ocean. We also liked the room darkening curtains. It kept the room really dark so we slept well.

Positives: The pillows were really soft and cushy and staying right on the ocean was fantastic.

Negatives: Parking was not included with the room.

We enjoyed staying at this hotel. The room was always clean and the view was beautiful from our room. We enjoyed the quiet peaceful neighborhood. We were conveniently located near the sky train which took us to the heart of Vancouver which was nice not having to drive. Also, by the hotel the pier was nice, but not too overly busy; however not too many options to choose from. We would definitely want to stay at this establishment again, but I would consider it more a three-star instead of four. The only thing four-star would be the rates at the restaurant. Overall, we enjoyed our experience at this establishment.

Positives: We loved the view; the cleanliness of the rooms and hotel; and front desk staff was very professional.

Negatives: The Boat House Restaurants prices were too expensive, and we need to search elsewhere for food. The location wasn't close to family friendly eateries.

The hotel is very lovely. Our room was large with a great pillow top king size bed. Room service was quick and delicious. The town of New Westminster is about 45 minutes from downtown Vancouver so be prepared to drive and parking is expensive in downtown. The sky train is $9.00 per day for all day travel and you can walk to the train in about 5 minutes. Take an umbrella since it rains many days out of the year.

Positives: The room was very large and bed was wonderful. We had a balcony overlooking a river.

Negatives: The hotel is over 45 minutes from Vancouver. The sky train is convenient at $9.00 for an all day pass.

The hotel itself was nice and clean. Our room had a balcony looking over the water. Our only problem with the hotel was that it was located next to train tracks and industrial water ports.

Positives: Nice rooms, very clean.

Negatives: Location, lots of industrial activity around.

A standard hotel room with friendly staff. When venturing more than 1 block around the hotel, the neighborhood gets poor. We did not have any kid friendly food options.

Positives: The bride in the hotel was pretty and calm.

Negatives: The neighborhood and food selections.
