I think the management in this hotel should be changed. They basically think that they get a very good location, so the customers should accept whatever they offer (especially for the food).

Positives: It is close to lake Louise, the famous spot. Good for ski.

Negatives: I do not know how they design their food menu and set the prices?

Deer Lodge, Lake Louise. Our room had paper thin walls. You could hear a whispered conversation next door. Bring earplugs in case your neighbor is a snorer or has a cough we had one of each next door. Lots of traffic noise too. Rooms are very hot, and we slept on top of the sheets even with the windows wide open this is in February. Room is small and rustic but nice. Staff is very friendly, food is good, beds are hard but ok, room was spotless, excellent location right beside Lake Louise.

Positives: Clean, friendly staff.

Negatives: Noisy, paper thin walls.

No prudent traveler would consider this hotel, if they had any idea what they were getting into. Parking away from entrance, had to carry luggage up and down stairs, no bell service. Room was so small couldn't walk around, with one wooden slat back chair. Bed bowed in the middle. No air conditioning. Dining room only had wild game and chicken on the menu at outrageous prices of $25-$40. It was so disagreeable we checked out at daylight, although we were supposed to stay another night, with no reservation for another place, but with the thought that we would rather sleep in the car than spend another minute in this deplorable hotel.

Positives: Nothing, it was horrible.

Negatives: No bell service, no elevator, no air conditioning, no decent food, worn out bed, etc.

For longer stay, would recommend a larger room than 2 twin - the cheapest room. The hotel was a very short walk to Lake and only 1 hotel was closer and was much more expensive. Parking is a problem at Lake Louise so any other hotel would have required a long walk to the lake. No TV, room small, and somewhat rustic but the food was definitely gourmet, the view was great and the hot tub with a view of the glacier was quite nice. I would definitely stay again but in a larger room.

Positives: Location, great view from ht tub. Restaurant top quality.

Negatives: 2 Twin Bed Room quite small. Rooms were dated.
