The campground has new managers in 2022 and they are very friendly and helpful. The washrooms are always clean and the fire pits are clean and they make sure the dogs are on leaches and the sites are very clean. Nice change since last time we were here. Will be back

Positives: Clean sites, fire pits clean and day use area clean. Grass cut and they also have fire wood for sale.

Negatives: Nothing bad about the place.

Ashland Dam has new Managers and they are very friendly and helpful. They take very good care of the Campground and the pits and sites are cleaned between each people coming in. The toilets are cleaned several times per day.
They keep the grass mowed and all dogs must be kept on a leash and their poop cleaned up.
The generators are not allowed to run all night and noise is kept t a minimum.

Quiet for sure, which is nice!

Positives: Quiet!

Negatives: Garbage were already full when we got to our site on a Friday. Dogs running at large, even jumping up on our trailer at us!!!!!!
Our campsite was a mess!!

Generally friendly people. Great fishing. Would have enjoyed more if there were no dogs running at large. It would be nice to have power sites available. Price was raised this year and yet there are no new amenities. The sites could have been groomed a little better. A small beach could be made for small children.

Positives: Great fishing. Calm Water.

Negatives: Foul language from caretaker site. Too much dog poop. Dogs off leash and too much barking from dogs. Not all people enjoy camping when there are dogs at large.

This place is Beautiful Quiet and Friendly . We first came in July liked it so much we came back again in Aug. u the tenets are very friendly and informative. The berry picking is great. The people that say it was so bad a few years ago should return to see how wonderful it is now.

Very nice small campground. Not big, less nose with less people.

Power and showers would be the only thing that could make it better.

Positives: Quiet and well maintained.

Negatives: No power and no showers.

Same as previous three years

Positives: Good fishing ifyou have a boat to get away from camp

Negatives: Again, tbis year, no change; garbage in fire pits, along lake edge. Filthy. People tat were fishing from shore at end, hutterite family, left garbage everywhere. (yes, i witnessed this).
Inconsiderate people in site 22, ran generator and radio for at least 3 hours. So, still no change from other years. Wont be back

I probably won't go back except for day use. Will bring a boat to get away from the site.

Positives: Very nice attendant. Polite and helpful. Quick with firewood
Beautiful lake.

Negatives: -dog poop in 3 of the sites i have rented
-garbage ALWAYS in fire pits; plastic and beer cans and all kinds of selection if you collect garbage.
-loud stereos
-yappy dogs
-dogs running loose (even the people that run the site and come and 'check up' on things seem to think they can let their dog out to run around and dump and pee in camp sites.) ????
-generators at all hours
-noise from across the lake camping often at all hours

Beautiful area and close proximity to city gives this campground the potential to be a great weekend get-away for weekend campers / fishermen. Unfortunately certain, regular-campers to this site who feel they are not required to comply with instruction/requests of the Campground Manager and display blatant disprespect and disregard for the other campers on site have made it my (and 14 other campers) most horrible camping experience in recent memory.

Positives: Beautiful trout lake with good fishing, nice campsites

Negatives: 1)Regular/possibly seasonal campers 24 - 7 barking dogs.
2)Non-compliance to timeframes of running generators.
3)Campground manager unable to enforce restrictions.

last year was over all positive

Positives: good fishing.

Negatives: absolutely filthy though!! Garbage everywhere! was much cleaner last year. grass trimmed and washrooms were clean. not this year. safer to squat in the bush. couldn't believe the amount of garbage in the firepits. noisy too. idiots with stereos. people driving fast through the small park. looking for a new place for rest of this year.
