Had a great stay at this camp ground. Friendly and helpful. Helped us get into our site. Shower house was very clean, that is hard to find in lots of camp grounds. Will be going back.

Positives: Friendly and very clean.

If you are travelling with dogs, I'd avoid this campground. They say they take pets, but you are made to feel like second-class guests, not very welcome. We were parked at the back of the property and were told to take our dogs out of the park to a grassy area beside the road to do their business. Well, we did it, every day multiple times, even though it involved some coaxing and dragging, especially in the mornings. Our final evening we returned from the play and by the time we headed out for our pre-bedtime walk, the gates were closed. We diligently untied the gate, took the dogs out to pee, closed and tied the gate behind us and decided to take the long way back to our campsite via one of the other loops. The campground attendant roared up on his noisy, smoke-belching, gas-powered golf cart and asked us, "What do you think you're doing walking dogs in the campground?!" and proceeded to chew us out for doing so. After two days of being very careful to not let my dogs pee on their precious grass, weeds and shrubs, I was not impressed at being loudly chastised in front of other campers. We won't go back and instead will stay across the road at the golf course campground next time we visit Rosebud.

Positives: Clean
Nice location close to town (but so is the other campground)

Negatives: Very dog unfriendly
Owner rides around on noisy, smelly golf cart
Don't like to take credit cards

Do NOT go here if you have kids or dogs!!! I'm sure that's what the owners want any way. They were very rude when it came to us having our dog. A few minutes of our dog being hyper as we set up, brought the owner over telling us our stay will very short if that kept up.The claim on their website is there is a designated area for dogs to do their business, well that area is the side of the hi way, outside the campground only! We didn't feel welcome at all as far as that or our kids are concerned. They asked how old our kids were, as if gaging how much trouble they would be. Both owners were very short and rude any time they spoke to us. On top of that, you have so little space in the area you are given, you had to basically whisper or your neighbour becomes apart of your conversation. The owners need to make it a senior only campground, otherwise they will continue to get negative reviews based on the way they treat people.

Positives: Well maintained grounds

Negatives: Rude and makes you feel unwanted in the campground.

Brutal

Positives: Campground/golf course across the highway

Negatives: Staff while being certainly cool to people are downright hostile to dogs. Sites are packed in like sardines, water is well fed and probably due to overcrowding, ran out for several hours on Sunday. One gets the feeling that staff are just waiting to pounce upon any actions they find against the rules. Absolutely nothing for kids. Not recommended !!!

Positives: The campground across highway!

Negatives: Don't waste your weekend! Showers were either ice cold or you put your money in them and they didn't work. Owner stayed up with a group of campers on Friday night until 5:30 am, but that was okay. Then on Sunday night, told the same group that they were being too loud at 11:30 pm. He was disrespectful and ignorant as well as used the "f" word in front of children. Group of senior citizens ruled the campground, complaining every time you moved. You cannot let your dog go to the bathroom in the campground, not even pee, they ask that you take them out. When you take them out of the campground, you are along a busy highway with oilfield trucks going by. While you are walking your dog out of the campground, they are telling you to not let them pee on the trees. You can only park certain ways. This means you have to wait for others to leave at the end of the weekend before you can get out because you have to unhook your truck and park it behind your trailer. There is nothing for the kids to do. Hardly any fire pits. You have to share a fire pit with others or not have one.

Although the park was well maintained, there was no feeling of being welcome there. The operators do not seem to enjoy what they do and it reflected in their attitude toward their guests. They made us feel like we were doing them a favor by allowing us to pay them to stay in their park and beware pet owners; this park is definitely not pet friendly and, from what I saw, I think the operators feel the same about young children. Right across the highway (where you are made to walk your dog while staying at High Eagle as it is not allowed to pee on the grass in the park) there is a very welcoming campground at the golf course where we will be staying for our next visit to Rosebud for the theater there. FYI: Do not walk, run for your tickets to the next play at the Rosebud Theater. The experience was extraordinary.

Positives: Well maintained.

Negatives: No feeling of being welcome.
