Kathy and Marty invite guests to share their dream of living in the beautiful country side, surrounded by Canadian forest and lakes. The two moved to Canada from Switzerland and live together with their boys Joe and Ben on their picturesque ranch near Rocky Mountain House.

Cowboy and ranch culture are part of Ride the Wind Ranch with rail fences, old West style buildings, lovely Paint horses on the pasture, fascinating Texas Longhorn cows to photograph. Sit around the campfire, grab a cup of cowboy coffee done right over the fire, try to swing the lasso and watch the thousands of bright stars.

The guest rooms in the cabin are cozy, roomy and bright. Each room offers a private bathroom. Very comfortable log beds and hardwood floors. The ranch house is the meeting place for the meals. Tasty breakfasts are served at the long pine table. Kathy's cooking is delicious, she loves to bake too. And no food allergies are problems, just let Kathy know. Most guests will book the Lodge Stay package, that includes a dinner in the evening. Wonderful Ranch cooking main dish, fresh salad, delightful desserts.

Travellers to Banff and Jasper National Parks as well as guests from busy urban places love to just take it easy for a couple of days at Ride the Wind Ranch. Either just relax or enjoy the day with sightseeing and activities nearby. Crimson Lake, Twin Lakes, golfing, horseback riding, hiking, fishing is all within a 15 minute drive.

On Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, a three hour horse experience can be booked at the ranch. Lots of fun learning about the horses, going on a ride in the beautiful forest with only four riders.

Nearby restaurants include Panago Pizza, Ritz Cafe, Burger Baron, and Grillers Steakhouse.
