It's under construction in the lobby area, so a bit noisy, very close to a great area of Calgary for wine and dining and shopping.
Positives: Nice room.
Negatives: Pricey.

My husband and I stayed here for a romantic night away. The staff in the restaurant were excellent and were relaxed as they could tell what we were there for. Food was excellent. Bed was super comfy. Best night sleep I ever had in a hotel. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!
Positives: Amazing staff! The front desk was outstanding!
Negatives: Parking at the hotel was pricey.

Housekeeping a little slack. When we arrived in our room we found a half full beer bottle and a glass behind the window curtain, We also had no cups or glasses.Front desk sent someone up right away and he was very apologetic.
Positives: Great location, fitness centre open 24 hours, attractive modern room.
Negatives: Internet should not cost extra and pool closed at 10 pm.

Location was good. The hotel did not have any local information about Calgary or the city. The room did not have a guide book or phone book. The hotel did not have a concierge (Saturday night). The bellman and front desk staff said there were plenty of places on Stephens Street but did not have suggestions. Would only recommend this hotel if you already had plans during your stay.

Positives: Location.
Negatives: No local information available dinner suggestions or brochures about the city.

Overall a beautiful hotel with outstanding rooms and good service. The resturants and lounges are top notch, if not a little expensive.
Positives: Beautiful rooms
Negatives: Parking was an additional $25 a night on top of the room fees.

When I arrived, the doorman asked if I needed my vehicle during my stay. Since I did not,
suggested the lower priced self park.
Check in at the front desk was quick and my bags were in my room as soon as I arrived at my room. Then the concierge located Calgary Stampede Rodeo tickets for me. She also explained the light rail which I used during my two day stay. Great people there at the Hyatt in Calgary.
Positives: The doorman and concierge were great.
Negatives: Nothing.

I was very pleased with my stay at this hotel. It had the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Close to many amenities. I would definitely stay there again.
Positives: This hotel was very clean and close to many amenities.
Negatives: Spa and room service was very expensive but expected at this type of hotel.

Good - Hotel was very nice. Centrally located, close to shopping and restaurants. Bathroom in our room was very spacious. Bad - beds were small, they were only doubles. Parking is extra and very expensive.
Positives: Location, central, close to restaurants, transportation and shopping.
Negatives: Parking was a big shock it is extra and very expensive.

The hotel is in a great part of town and convenient for shopping and dining. The room is not big and amenities are only standard, but the room feels new and relatively clean. The gym, pool, Jacuzzi and sauna are on a high floor with a panoramic view of the city. Parking is expensive but probably due to the location.
Positives: Gym and pool has panoramic view of Calgary.
Negatives: Television is old, toiletries are not good.

Our room were small and has a smell. No exhaust fan in the bathroom so it stinks when someone is using it. Not what I expected from a four star hotel. Not recommended for a family that's traveling.
Positives: Close to shops.
Negatives: Rooms are small, no microwave, no fridge in the room.

I was extremely disappointed with this hotel. We were told that they would have a room for us in 1/2 an hour, after coming back they tried again to give me the 16th floor, so after 2 more hours they were able to clear a room for us with a king bed and we had to get a cot. I missed a diner date with friends and was very upset with having to wait 2.5 hours just to get a room. I gave a low rating for the staff in that I was lied too, if he had told me it was going to take 2 hours I could have gone to my dinner date.
Positives: Large bathroom.
Negatives: NA.

The room was so dusty that if I had asthma there would be no way I could have stayed in that room. Even the bathroom counter had not been cleaned. The TV was so archaic that I couldn't even plug in my camcorder. The rest of the furniture fit right along with it. The bedding linen was fitted so poorly it all came un-tucked. The fitness room was extremely cramped though the equipment was top of the line. Single cup coffee makers don't cut it for a double occupancy.
Positives: The bathroom was nice and roomy. The pool area was very pleasing atmosphere.
Negatives: The room was not clean by any means.

Great hotel if you want to stay in downtown Calgary. Direct access to shopping on 8th Ave, with no cars and direct access to Sky Train, if needed.
Positives: Great location in downtown area.
Negatives: Charges for wireless internet, should be free.

I was very pleased with this hotel. The staff was excellent and the room was very comfortable. I've stayed at other upscale hotels in Calgary and the Hyatt is above or on par with most of those. The only complaints would be that the television in the room was a bit outdated and the self checkout feature could not be completed due to technical issues. In my opinion, these are very minor issues and I would definitely stay at the Hyatt again.
Positives: Very comfortable beds.
Negatives: Television could be updated.

Although food and drinks were expensive, they were both well worth it and the service was the best I have had in many, many business trips. Room was updated and clean, clean, clean. Everything from room service to valet parking was efficient, friendly and exactly what you would expect (but do not always get) from a 4 star hotel. It was a wonderful experience.
Positives: All around pleasant attitude of everyone.
Negatives: Air conditioner needs to blow more cold air in such hot weather!

A very nice hotel in the heart of Calgary. Located on a friendly walking mall with lots of restaurants.
Positives: The location is excellent - across the street from a wonderful museum.
Negatives: Had to pay for parking - I hate that.

This hotel delivers what you would expect from a 4 star Hyatt. Great location right downtown. Staff was great, helpful, even funny when my daughter checked in wearing her oil field gear. Nice pool and hot tub. Quiet rooms. Actually has enough elevators, no waiting.
Positives: No extra fees or charges. Great staff.
Negatives: Gouging for internet access.
