We booked two rooms over the phone from another province for a single Saturday night stay (a family wedding). We offered to provide our credit card information over the phone, but the young boy on the other end stated that they "don't do that". Therefore, we never received a confirmation number. The boy didn't even take our phone number at that time.

Upon our arrival late Saturday afternoon, Portia (the manager), insisted that we were responsible for paying for Friday and Saturday night for the two rooms, even though we had only booked for the Saturday night. In fact, she was also going to charge us for a Sunday stay, but was "willing" to forgo those charges because we were providing a 24 hour cancellation notice!

Considering we had no other place to stay, we begrudgingly agreed to pay for Friday and Saturday night (x2 rooms). Portia was quick to inform us that, because she had the credit card information of the groom, that if we didn't pay for the extra nights, she would charge the groom anyway! What a hustle!

Positives: The motel is close to Leoville, where the wedding was located.

Negatives: Communications with the management of this motel leaves much to be desired. Be sure to clarify the details of your stay - and MAKE SURE YOU GET A CONFIRMATION NUMBER FROM THEM!!!! They will rob you of your money!

It should also be mentioned that we had to ask for another room to the first room they assigned us. The overwhelming stench of cat urine was making several of us sick to our stomachs. For anyone with allergies, please BEWARE!!!!
