Although a bit dreary looking on the outside, the hotel was conveniently located in the heart of Downtown Montreal. The staff was extremely professional and helpful with smiles all around.
Positives: The location was fantastic as were the employees; and very professional.
Negatives: There was construction going on and that closed the hot tub and sauna.
Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 26 Aug 2011 rated 10 out of 10.
Though the whirlpool and sauna were not functioning due to renovations which was disappointing, it was a lovely hotel and the staff were very accommodating. The room attendants were excellent and missed no detail when maintaining the room. They should be commended for this. Our room had a spectacular view of Mount Royal and the city landscape.
Positives: The location and cleanliness were outstanding.
Negatives: The whirlpool and sauna were not available due to renovations, very disappointing, Free parking or a voucher could have been offered in lieu.

This hotel has all the aspects of a 4 star facility, but slightly misses with the placement of the ice machines and flaws in the room. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and the green initiative is a good start; however, the offer of points or a voucher for passing on the daily maid service is lost with the lack of towel racks in the bathroom.
Positives: The service staff were accommodating.
Negatives: The concierge charged for a service above what the charge was but led me to believe it was a place holder.

Great location. However, the rooms were a little small for 2 adults and a baby. Hotel staff wanted $25/day additional to for a microwave and another $25/day for a refrigerator which in my mind should have been offered at no extra cost (it was no cost at our recent stay at the Westin in Boston).
Positives: Convenient downtown location.
Negatives: Very small rooms, extra cost for Microwave and Fridge in the hotel.

Great location, view, and rooms. Staff was friendly and helpful in both English and French. Computers with free internet in lobby as well as free wifi in the lobby. Unfortunately, no free in-room wifi. Great stay and would absolutely rebook this hotel. Parking was as expensive as you'd expect downtown (~$20 per day).
Positives: Great location, room, and view of Montreal.
Negatives: Nothing to complain about except unavailability of free wife (although this was available in the lobby).

Fabulous location for casual shopping and proximity to Montreal Jazz Festival and excellent restaurants. Safe area at night too.
Positives: Internet in lobby.
Negatives: Starbucks Coffee only - too strong for me.

Nice location, okay rooms, cheep nickel and dime service fees tarnish this mickey mouse operation. We were not guests, more like patsy's.
Positives: The location was central, near train station.
Negatives: The charge to store baggage pre-check-in and post-check-out is abhorant.

It is definitely a great place to stay, but compared to 3 star hotels in the same area it was not "that" much better.
Positives: Location, and swimming pool.
Negatives: Size of the room, no balcony, no free breakfast, and no mini-fridge.

Convenient location off main road and near highway - within walking distance to entertainment district (Crescent st). Great staff, friendly and courteous. Quick to provide umbrella to us as we exited hotel in the rain. Rooms were comfortable and of good size (corner room). Pool and workout room on 6th floor gave an OK view of the neighborhood. Pool was
very warm and shallow end not too deep for our two small children (5 and 3). Hot tub was
hot and kids are able to get in as well - they had fun. Saunas were smallish.
Positives: Bell-boy staff very helpful at check-in and check-out and throughout stay.
Negatives: Slightly awkward to turn left onto the side road, where hotel driveway is located.

This hotel is located in downtown Montreal and is within walking distance to many attractions. Only one block to Bell Center, you could see it from our room. Two blocks to St Catherines St. Lots of shopping and restaurant choices. The rooms were clean and recently updated. The beds were very comfortable, and the elevators quick.
Positives: Good location within walking distance to many attractions comfortable beds, clean and very friendly staff.
Negatives: Nothing I didn't like.

The hotel is clean and attractive and the service is good. The bedding smelled strongly of bleach which made it a bit difficult to sleep at first, though I was glad to know it was so clean.
Positives: Decor was awesome and everything was very clean.

It's nice and clean, tastefully decorated and upscale. It was easy to get to from the train station and we would definitely stay there again.
Positives: The convenience to transportation, downtown shopping area and hockey arena.
Negatives: Charged for the Internet when they said internet was free and room was a little small.

A great place to stay in the heart of downtown Montreal. Unless you have other plans for how to spend time in your room, expect to pony up $16 for Internet.

The hotel is great, unless you book with Priceline. I am almost positive they stuck us in a room with a wet floor from a leak and a broken a/c knowing there were problems. When we patiently waited for the problem to be resolved, we were given the run-around. One manager even lied directly to us, telling us the mechanic said the room was fine, even though we were five feet away and heard him tell his boss it was broken and we needed to move. He eventually blamed his lie on a co-worker, nobly. We were told there were absolutely NO available rooms in the entire hotel, and only after about two hours of trying to get them to fix the situation did one magically appear. Outside of this fiasco, it took us five minutes to find a valet, while the car was waiting in limbo. Further, there was a ten-minute long line at check-in. Positively, the mechanics were really nice, though one should never have to know it.
Positives: We had an excellent view and the location was great.
Negatives: We had a room with a broken a/c, and it took hours and much grief to get the situation fixed.

Great hotel and great location.
Positives: The key card access for the room was touch less.
Negatives: Concierge was not the friendliest.

Great hotel in a great location - we loved the dog beds. The Starbucks was part of the bar and that confused us since we couldn't find it until someone showed us. I used the salon in the lower level and it was great. There is a large park in the next block to walk the dogs - very safe even late at night. We also walked to shopping one block over.
Positives: Pet friendly in downtown Montreal - great location right by parks and shopping.
Negatives: Parking garage did not fit our Toyota FJ so we had to park down the street.

Great experience and would love to stay at this location again if I return to Montreal.
Positives: The rooms were nice, large, and located in the heart of Montreal.
Negatives: Can't think of anything.

Really nice hotel, great price on Priceline, so that really helped as I would probably not stay at this hotel without my husband in the future unless I could get a similar rate. I will stay here again perhaps in September with my husband. Really nice experience and GREAT location. Only downfall I would say were the drink prices at the bar, really quite over the top .I would not have a drink there again $32.00 for a rum and coke and 1 glass of wine is excessive (including tip).
Positives: Great location, great room ,great view, excellent.
Negatives: Not that I didn't like the drinks at the bar they were just outrageously expensive!

Nice Hotel, clean room, nice view of the montreal downtown from the rooms. Starbucks coffee in the rooms. Nice hotel over all. Parking was $20/day, but every downtown hotel charges for parking in every city. Totally satisfied, except for the fact that you had to pay for internet in the room and in the business centre. The hotel is very expensive, so use priceline.
Positives: Perfection Location: close to shopping St. Catherine, old montreal, the montreal port, asino and lots of food places and arhitectural buildings
Negatives: Parking very narrow and limited spaces ( $20/per day)
