Very pleasant stay.

I had the pleasure of visiting the city of Toronto and stayed at the Primrose Hotel downtown. I had an enjoyable stay overall, and was quite pleased with the accommodations. I was given a king room on the 19th floor with a wonderful view of the city and lake. The room was quite spacious and also had an additional seating area which came in handy when I wanted to relax and read my book. The staff was very friendly and pleasant to deal with. I cannot comment on the restaurant as I did not eat there in the morning, but it seemed quite busy. I was a little disappointed that the pool was closed as I was not aware that it was an outdoor pool, but I did make use of their gym and was able to do a complete workout with the machines they had.
I also spent quite a bit of time at the Eaton Center which took me about 10 minutes to walk to. There were some great specialty shops and all of them seemed to be running sales, so I would definitely go there to find some great bargains. Also, many restaurants in the area, and a great Thai place which I walked to from the hotel called the Jasmine Tree? (I hope the name is right).
My stay in the city was fantastic, and apart from a few hassles at the airport check in counter, went very smoothly. When I return to Toronto, I will most likely stay at the Primrose again provided the price is still good.
Positives: Great for nightlife (location).
Negatives: Wanted breakfast to be served faster.

I was very happy with my stay overall. The room was clean even though some of the furniture and appliances where old (alarm clock didn't work). I had a terrific view of Toronto harbor and the CN Tower. The wireless Internet was a little slow, but did the job as long as your not streaming videos.
Positives: Nice rooms, clean bedding, courteous staff, downtown & close to subway station.
Negatives: Old electrical extension wires (fire hazard), alarm clock didn't work.

Rooms and public areas very dirty. Someone else hair throughout my bathroom, location is too far from downtown business center. I don't think Best Western would appreciate having their reputation tied to this place.
Positives: Nothing!
Negatives: Everything.

Clean, cheap all around good value. The air conditioner it turns off while you sleep. Gets a little hot at night. Don't attempt the parking garage if you are a poor driver. It's tight!
Positives: Pleasantly surprised.
Negatives: Staff was not knowledgeable on local night life.

Negatives: Cleanliness, no updates.

This is a nice hotel but the elevators could use an overhaul. My 3 children (11, 9 and 4) and I got stuck in the elevator on the way to the pool. Thankfully the doors opened and we were able to hop down, as the car was stuck between floors. We ended up walking down the stairs from the 19th floor to the 3rd floor pool. But throughout our 2 nights at this hotel we waited for the elevator a lot.
Positives: The duvet covers, size of room.
Negatives: The elevators are very slow and not very reliable.

Overall a very positive experience. Great location and nice room. Parking was difficult.

It met my expectation, even though they do not have any non-smoking room, they helped us to find one with little smell.
Positives: Staff was very friendly.
Negatives: Internet access was limited, a bit old facilities and carpet, very hard to get a real person to talk to over the phone.

Elevators were very run-down. Hotel could use a general face-lift.
Positives: Location was very good. Toronto is a wonderful city.
Negatives: First night--very noisy guests across hall, drinking. Second night: couldn't get into connecting rooms at time designated.

Our room was recently renovated so it was decent but the hotel seems a bit tired. Elevators were small and were showing signs of their age.
Positives: Rooms were clean and nice.
Negatives: No parking available, no rooms available on lower floors.

I was pleasantly surprised after some not so great experiences with Best Western. Although the bed felt like sleeping on a pool table, the accommodations were fine. It is in a great neighborhood with lots of restaurants.
Positives: Great location.
Negatives: Bed was too hard.

This is a great place for a business traveler, not so great for families. I didn't anticipate an additional 46 dollars for parking, (two nights), so that was disappointing. They also put us in a smoking room, although I asked non smoking. Room was tired looking.
Positives: Location - downtown, close to theater district.
Negatives: Parking was too expensive.

The hotel was good but the have the room set to such a high temperature it got to the point were out side at 72 degrees was more comfortable than inside the room. The air conditioner will just rise the temperature overnight it was horrible. Sleeping and sweating. I am not going back to that hotel. And please let us know the parking was not included! That was not a pleasant surprise! 23 a day!
Positives: Everything was clean and the environment felt secure.
Negatives: Room temperature way to hot.
