Before I get into how dreadful our experience was with business, I want to say that if you have a camper, this review does not apply to you. But if you plan on tenting here, you need to know a couple of things if you want to avoid the issues we had… things that should have been mentioned to us when we requested a tent site with 2 services. The business is run by a father/daughter team. The father, who is the only one we dealt with in person, is very kind and friendly. I cannot say the same for his daughter who I dealt with via Messenger.

We were given a site that is clearly for campers. We could not plug our extension cord into the power supply. Pierre, the owner, gave us 3 different converters before getting the right one. But at least that problem was solved. The ground was too hard and rocky for us to properly anchor our tent, so it was not secured. And there are no sheltered sites, so we were at the mercy of the elements. Both days were very windy and because we couldn’t anchor our tent, it was constantly blown down. Our second night, it fell on us so we had to pack up the air mattress, the kennel, and our dog and go set up in my brother’s living room. Other campers said they wondered why we wouldn’t put on the grass where most tents go. I said it was probably because we asked for power, but then I was told that the owner usually runs an extension cord from the house to provide power. Why none of this was mentioned to us is beyond me. Me and the daughter communicate regularly on messenger prior to our visit. She could have told me this. The father could have told us that as well when we arrived. We learned it from seasonal campers.

When we left, I sent a message to the daughter and explained what happened. I was friendly and said that even though we would never tent there again, we might be back with our camper. I asked if I could Etransfer the payment. She said yes and provided the number. She never acknowledged any of the difficulties we encountered. Never apologized for them. Instead, she got defensive and called us the worst campers she’s ever had in 30 years of business. Not an ounce of professionalism. Their washrooms look like they have not been renovated or updated in their 30 years of business. If you are overweight, you may not fit in the shower. And it’s unisex, which would be fine if it was just washrooms, but it’s showers as well. We will never go back there. The daughter could really use a course in business professionalism.

Positives: The father was friendly. Lowest prices around (you get what you pay for).

Negatives: Unisex washrooms/showers, no privacy (small sites and very crowded), not tent friendly if power is required, daughter lacks professionalism.
