We tried this campground in Sept 09 but being a long weekend it was very loud with parties. We tried it once more In May 2010 but it was a horrible experience. They have 1 shower and 3 flush toilets for the whole campground.
Our site was used as a walkthrough for a party of 15-20 drunk partygoers. We asked them to please quiet down at 1:30 to no avail. The owner refused to answer his door or phone. the next morning, he gave us a token sorry but did not see interested in our complaint of the loud music and drunkenness we had to endure. The seasonals are friends with the owner and he lets them party all night with no consideration for other campers. No matter how tired you are, drive past this campground. There are 2 others in St. Andrews and a wonderful quiet Provincial Campground at New River Beach. Waste of money and 2 sleepness nights. We will never return to this campground.

Positives: The location is good if you want to cross the US border or are coming over from the US.

Negatives: There is absolutely no noise control. The owners let campers party until all hours. At 1:30 we turned on the funace and put in our earplugs.
Lack of washrooms.

The Staff and Owners of Oak Bay Campground were very friendly. They took us to our site, helped us set up, and gave us some great advise about things to see and do in the area.
Thanks so much you helped enrich our trip to New Brunswick.
We loved the Kingsbrae Gardens and hope to take in a whale watching trip with Quoddy Link Marine in St. Andrews on our way back home in Georgia.
Thanks Dick and Sue
PS thanks for flying the American Flag
