RiverRun Campground

The place was so nice located in the cannan river, Nice and peaceful. The people are so amazing and the owners well they are the best people I met yet to own a campground. The washrooms were really clean and smelt good too. They offer washer toss tournments , bingo , and the list can go on. They have 1 cottage and 2 rustic cabins, power sites with water and tents site..

property was over exaggerated by the owner over the phone while booking a site ,,, owner was very indifferent to the group we were in ,,,lacked business manners and people skills ,,he commented on the camp ground down the road from him as being only 1/2 as nice as River Run,,upon driving down to check out what should have been a terrible camp ground we were pleasantly surprised to find a property that we would rate as 200 % better in every way than river run ,,we regretted we didn't book there instead ,,we will go to TNT next and never back to river run ,knowing now what it is like

Positives: the river ran past it but so did the busy highway,,a lot of traffic noises ,,

Most of the campers are awesome. Great to chill with in the evenings!

Positives: The other campers, laundry costs are fair. Washrooms are clean.

Negatives: The campground itself could use some work,uneven places where water will lay for days after a rain. Not great especially if that low spot is just outside your tent or trailer. They do keep it mowed, but it does not get rid of the water.Could really use a pool for the kids to swim in as the river water is not clean at all.

Beautiful location on the river, truly enjoyed our stay. The people were very friendly and genuinely nice, would recommend to anyone. Very clean facilities and the owners were very accommodating. Thank you for an enjoyable and relaxing weekend.

Positives: Right on the water, relaxing and beautiful location, very nice people. No negatives at all.

Campground owner is an erratic maniac. Can't be trusted on for anything he says he will or won't do. He's got a group of very old, drunk cronies who hang out w/ him, tell lies they spin as truths, & the old coot believes them. Health department shut down 1/3 of his park because he Jimmy-rigged his septic to run directly into the Canaan river. There's also alot of speeding thru the park on golf carts by very drunk & opinionated old people. Wouldn't recommend this retirement resort for Geezers to my worst enemy.
