Positives: food , views , friendly staff , value for money
Negatives: off the beaten track but worth the trip
Comments: Our two day stay was relaxing and enjoyable with the sound of the sea and perfect July weather. The accomodations were clean and urban rustic with excellent value for all meals. The meals were local fish and produce and prepared fresh daily.. Never a disappointment during our stay. The private beach and natural surroundings made for a pleasant and relaxing stay.
Peacefulness surrounds the Markland Resort. The sound of waves will be heard in the distance.. The accommodations are simple, comfortable and understated but in keeping with the setting.
The rooms, in four buildings with three units each, have tongue-and-groove panelled walls, high ceilings with fan, a sitting area with queen size sofa bed, a queen size bed, and a picture window overlooking the water. The one and two bedroom cabins are similarly furnished, but with cathedral ceilings and a full kitchen with a microwave and stove. The two bedroom cabins have doubles instead of queen size beds.
