Motel Sunrise

Forget this place. They charged me $75, then asked for a $20 deposit (but in cash, and I only had $15 so they took it anyway). They also keep photo IDs of everyone, but I get it, given how shady the place is. It's like a bad movie. My room was not clean. The walls had unpainted hole patches everywhere. Chairs with torn fabric. Cigarette dust on the table. Weird customers looking at you. Flimsy doors. You can hear everything in the rooms next to you. Towels are way past the point of replacement. Just overall, the building is terribly run down, in desperate need of renovations. Their service is worse. The guy at the front desk literally lectured me on how bad I was to dare checking out after 11am: "do you know how late you are? see the sign above? it says 11am". As a result, he kept $10 from my deposit, said he had no choice because I caused inconvenience. And mind you, the motel was 2/3 vacant. It's not like there were other customers waiting for a room. He gave me only $5 back. That's fine - my review is well worth 10 bucks. Stay away!
