Still a good hotel to recommend.very convenient location. Staff was very friendly--- front desk and restaurant.

Negatives: Bathroom tob needs a good scrubbing. Had some kind of molding.

For the age of the hotel, very nice and comfortable, needs some renos.

My wife and I really enjoyed our 4 day stay at this hotel, with very clean, quiet, spacious room. Breakfast is spectacular but somewhat pricey.

Positives: The location and speed of the elevators is striking and we both loved the room furniture, as well as how it was set up.

Negatives: Restaurant and bar prices were very high and paying for inside parking is a real downer.

The hotel was conveniently located for me. Even though the parking garage was rather expensive it was nice since I could get to the car without having to go into the cold weather. The employees were courteous and were surprisingly fluent with English being that we were in a French speaking area.

Positives: It was clean, and the room was reasonably priced.

Negatives: I did not like the parking fee.

Maybe good for business but not for pleasure. Looks as if Holiday Inn took over an ailing hotel and tried to retrofit it. Overall: a pitiful attempt at finery.

Positives: Pretty clean, large bathroom, comfy bed

Negatives: Decor is morbid, had to pay a lot to park the car, maid barged in, absolutely nothing around - no restaurants, attractions

For the price, I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of this hotel. It met our needs and fairly comfortable. Great for families on a budget.

Very spacious! The room was bigger than what I was expecting. The water pressure in the shower was a bit weak but over all still a very good experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay. The room was beautiful, non-smoking, and a gorgeous view from the 9th floor. We took advantage of walking in the area, eating out and free street parking. It was a memorable experience. Only complaint was that the fitness room was not open early enough on the weekends and we were unable to use it.

Positives: Location overlooking Gatineau Park and canals.

Negatives: Fitness room hours not open early enough on weekends.

Expected less and I was amazed and very well surprised and recommended.

The hotel is in a great location, the rooms are clean and nice. However, the staff was unaccommodating or ill-informed about hotel policies for parking. We got a parking ticket from the city. When we spoke with the manager, he told us he would reimburse us for the ticket but couldn't help us with the parking. We had to make our own arrangements even though there were some parking spots at the hotel's discretion. I just felt the staff was very unaccommodating in general.

For the price and location, this hotel was perfect for a visit to Ottawa, parking also was good. Rooms were clean and had all items needed.

Positives: The location and price was great also the parking was only $10/day for in city in & out.

I am business traveler, so I will have some calls and faxes. They said even 800 # will be charges. Overall every thing was nice accept parking and phone. Thank you if u doing some thing about it. I love what are you doing.

This hotel was once a hot spot, that's when it was awarded it star rating. This place needs help and friendlier staff to keep it alive. The sixth room-key finally opened the door!
