The fifteen room Barachois Inn on Prince Edward Island was originally a Victorian Country House built in 1880 for local merchant, Joseph Gallant. Mr. Gallant was a man of considerable importance in his community which is reflected in the house he built.

Enjoy an evening walk on the Gulf shore or curl up with a book in the living room. Golfing, horseback riding, deep sea fishing, swimming, wind-surfing, tennis, hiking, biking, craft shops, theatre and excellent dining are all nearby. Our adjacent MacDonald House offers an exercise room, sauna and meeting rooms, making the Barachois Inn the clear choice for executive retreats, intimate gatherings, and small weddings (30 to 35 people).

The Barachois Inn in Rustico is close to Cavendish Beach and the home of "Anne of Green Gables." Charlottetown, the Island's Capital and the Birth Place of Canada's Confederation, is 28 km away. This luxurious Inn is centrally located, making any on-Island attraction or point-of-interest an easy day trip.
