I have been a seasonal camper for going on 3 years at Pine Echo Camp until recently I have sold my trailer. But before I sold, I went to the owner to ask about a refund if I was to leave early, I was told that I would be taken care of… but to my surprise as soon as my trailer was gone, and key cards handed in and I was back in Toronto. I received a text stating that this is how it’s gonna go, I was no longer going to get my refund. And that I was not going to get anything for the deck either.
The deck and shed I bought from the owners for $800 that I was told that I could always sell it back … if and when I was to ever leave, and of course the owners story changed … I was then told by the owner that I could no longer sell it to anyone in the park, including the previous owners because the previous owners had left the park and came back, and NOW the owner wanted to punished them for leaving and they could no longer buy the deck back or move back to their old spot.
After the refusal to pay me for the deck, I contacted the previous owners to let them know that I was not allowed to sell it to them, and that they need to speak to the owners of the campground and the amount of money that I paid for it not to pay anything more.
So then I see the previous owners had moved back into the spot that I have paid for the season, and still I am not entitled to get my money back as a refund because the owners refuse to send it back.
So, in my time that I have spent at Pine Echo Camp I have sat and listen to the both owners gossip about each and every person within the campground. Calling people names and making racial remarks!
I have also watched the owner at the store go into the trunk of another camper and buy discard and expired candy, canned goods, and other items that she would sell at full price and their store.
Let me address the 50-50 draw that happens every week end within the campground, which usually brings in about $300 to $700 weekly…. which I was told that this money is split between the person who wins, and the campground which is supposed to be used for events not for the owners to buy new tractors motorcycles Pay for an up coming wedding! Now let’s just put in the perspective $300-$700. Let’s go in the middle $500 every week. 24 weeks x $500=$12,000 for the camp ground and on an average every weekend there is one or two events which might cost the total of $100-$150 for the weekend. Where does all the other money go to the campground for what?
Oh yeah, and if nobody wins it’s turned over to the next pot. What about their portion of it? Does it go back into the pot or do they keep it …..just saying!
