Modern, pleasant staff, centrally located in the heart of downtown.
Positives: Modern decor, lobby restaurant and location of room.
Negatives: Shower (scalding temp. changes) television reception snowy and paid for a movie that was hard to view from screen imperfections.

Room service is sub par. Evening staff would not allow food delivery to the room. Guests have to meet delivery person in the lobby. Inconvenient. Mariott Courtyard has less stars and much better overall service.
Positives: Common spaces inncluding gym were all well-kept and very nice
Negatives: Night staff were unhelpful and knew very little about the amenities around the hotel.

Overall was extremely satisfied with hotel. Received an upgrade to a corner suite and no extra charge. Staff were very knowledgeable of area and provided great recommendations. Also, very central location and easy to walk anywhere within downtown. Would recommend hotel to anyone staying in downtown Toronto.
Positives: Staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable of surrounding area. Provided me with several great recommendations on what to see and where to eat.
Negatives: Cost of parking.

I really liked the ability to plug laptop into TV and watch videos from my laptop on the TV. The room was quiet and the bed was comfortable. I got a good sleep there. However, the hotel felt generally bland and not very welcoming, it was like there weren't many guests there or something. I wish that there was free WiFi in the rooms, although it was nice that at least there was free WiFi in the lobby.
Positives: Connecting laptop to TV.
Negatives: Bland-feeling.

Great area, comfy beds, very clean, huge flatscreen TVs, good check in and check out times!
Positives: Location was right beside the Eaton center and close to entertainment district.
Negatives: One of our rooms smelt a bit like cigarette smoke.

The hotel is located right in the heart of the city next to Eaton Center. It is awesome for anyone who is not renting a car. The bed and linens are top notch. If you are travelling with children, a sofa bed is included...however, the room is very very small.
Positives: Excellent location, Great comfortable bed and linens.
Negatives: Small pool, small room, expensive parking and internet.

Overall, it is a great hotel. The room is spacious, the location is perfect, and the trade-off for the price was definitely worth revisiting. The bathroom needs to be redone, as does the pool and gym. A nice touch though were the fresh apples and ionized water at the Gym.
Positives: Great location.
Negatives: The pool and gym were sub-par.

The hotel was great - very nice but think it was more for business travelers.
Positives: Valet - staff remembered us and were very prompt.
Negatives: I know it was 4 star hotel but prices at breakfast were quite high for regular egg breakfast. Buffet price was okay but a normal $5.99 breakfast was $17.

Reception was very quick with personable staff. Staff tried to not accept tip at arrival at our room. The dining room did not have a vegetarian meal on menu but gave me an excellent meal. The room was clean but husband had trouble getting hooked up with his computer. This was our 10th hotel in Toronto this year and this one was our BEST stay.
Positives: The dining room was able to provide veggie meal that is not on the menu.
Negatives: Outdoor area needs smoker’s ashtray.

Very well managed hotel with a knowledgeable staff in a very convenient central location.
Positives: Very comfortable with an excellent location and a generally helpful, if somewhat businesslike, staff.
Negatives: As a senior concerned about falling, wish there was a bath mat in the tub.

Positives: Great location.
Negatives: Nothing negative. Hotel was great.

Perfect for a no frills stay. Why pay for business facilities if you don't need them? Very cheap breakfast options meant it wasn't worth going elsewhere which was very convenient.
Positives: Price, location, cheap breakfast, friendly staff.
Negatives: Nothing.

I had organized the room as a birthday gift for a girl friend. Upon arrival since my friend's husband is an executive with FedEx and was recognized by staff their room was immediately upgraded. Complimentary parking and breakfast was also included.
Positives: The staff was outstanding and did a few upgrades for us.
Negatives: There was not a bar refrigerator in the room.

I would certainly use this hotel if I were to go back. It was bright & cheerful & staff often asking if they could help in any way. We were two elderly senior ladies & hadn't been to Toronto in years.
Positives: The beds & bedding were excellent. Staffs were very friendly.
Negatives: No fan in the bathroom.

Excellent service, location and environment.
Positives: It was perfect for me as a business traveler.
Negatives: I liked everything.

The hotel was beautiful and the staff was very efficient. The staff was also helpful with planning our daily trips and selecting restaurants. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The only thing that we did not like was that the room was hot at night. We dried to regulate the thermostat but had no luck. This was a small issue in relationship to the helpful staff and room accommodations.
Positives: The staff made the difference in this hotel. The were helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.
Negatives: The room looked nice and bed was comfortable. However it was two hot. Even on a cool day.

The over all stay would be average. I would not consider this a 4 star in any way at all. It suited us fine as we had a concert to go to and did not want to drive home. If I had to tell someone to go to Toronto hotel for an evening this hotel would be on the bottom of my list.
Positives: Attached to tourist area mall and indoor path to city.
Negatives: No queen beds, room not up to date and front desk staff not friendly.

Overall, we had a lovely stay. The rooms were newly renovated, clean and very comfortable. Disappointed that internet connectivity was not included.
Positives: Clean, friendly staff, well appointed rooms that were very comfortable.
Negatives: Internet cost was $17.95 - very high.

Location. Great open concept bar + restaurant area. Well maintained rooms. Excellent linens and towels.
Positives: Great staff, very convenient to downtown Toronto.
Negatives: No mini bar in the rooms.

I'd recommend this hotel to someone who is looking to shop since it's connected to the mall. It's very convenient for downtown access. It has a great gym but a tiny pool considering the size of the hotel.
Positives: Modern artwork. Key location.
Negatives: Small pool.

Another complaint was that the coffee maker in the room did not have any whitener or sugar, etc. and no mini bar. As for the accommodations itself, it was very comfortable, one of the best sleeps I have had at a hotel.
Positives: Modern, great decor, great location, very comfortable.
Negatives: Room service took 45 mines for toast and coffee; no mini bar.
Reviewer: Not provided on Thu 01 May 2008 rated 10 out of 10.
Everyone was helpful from the valet to the desk staff. It was a great visit, thank you!
Positives: Convenient, clean and helpful.
Negatives: Not a thing.
