Every guest room honours the heart of the Vastu philosophy, which advocates the protection of the environment and all living things.
Dark pine can be found throughout the Annex Quest House. The wide plank floors, tastefully simple and comfortable beds, side tables, bureaus, mirrors, towel racks and even toilet paper holders are all holistic creations, most handcrafted with minimal wastage.
Asymmetrical design, which flows through the world of nature, conforms to the features of the human body and helps our guests feel at ease. Each room’s decor observes this Vastu preference for asymmetry.

Additional details
Featured in Canadas Globe and Mail and Toronto Star, the new Annex Quest House is designed according to vastu, Indias ancient design science. Through the use of vastu, every room at Annex Quest House is designed to increase the wellbeing of our guests. Every room is inviting, relaxing, and gentle on the eyes.
Annex Quest house was designed by Kathleen Cox, the founder of Vastu Living, who worked with Fred Baron, a Toronto-based wood artisan, to create the vastu look of Annex Quest House.
The dcor in each room observes the vastu preference for asymmetry in the placement of objects on the surfaces and walls. Asymmetrical designs, which conform to the human body, help us relax. Asymmetry also creates a delicate flow in the design of each room.
Dark pine furnishings in Annex Quest House, from the wide-plank floors to the tastefully simple beds, towel racks and toilet paper holders, are holistic creations by Fred Baron. His work creates minimal wastage, and his products integrate beautifully into the nearly 100 percent natural dcor. His work honors the heart of the vastu philosophy.
