Great overall experience; as with any large group of people, there are problems. Understandably, staff become overwhelmed sometimes with some of the many demands of the job, customers want to be "always right", but they aren't.

I am a seasonal camper and very happy with the park and staff; people shouldn't be so thin skinned.

As far as the group that left; most of us are not unhappy that they are gone, too many parties, too much noise.

They weren't locked in the park, but were prevented from leaving until they paid their outstanding charges, which they had to be coaxed into doing. They made a scene and seemed happy to do that. Shame on them for not leaving with dignity.

Positives: Very clean, location is beautiful, staff work hard to keep everyone on top of the rules and keep the part quiet, but interesting.

We’ve always found the owners of the park to be most helpful and accommodating. This is a very large park and they put in endless hours maintaining its appearance — a monumental task. This is our second year at Grenville Park and we would recommend it to anyone. We have never had any issues around our grandchildren visiting us at the park. They were made VERY welcome. The happy campers far outnumber the unhappy campers, in our estimation. Well done, Larry & Marianne.

Positives: Great playground and planned activities.

My parents have been seasonal campers at Grenville Park for the last 3 summers, the first was great, they had a great time and made many new friends. We went to visit and some times we were treated nicely but for the most part we were treated like scum from the river. I eventually told my parents that we would not come to the trailer to see them becuase it was not fair the way we were treated upon entering. This year has been the worst ever for my parents and a number of their friends who also camp at the park. They have had issue after issue. I again told my parents we would not be out to see them this summer, which really made my 2 young children sad because they wanted to see their grandparents on the weekends. The "owners" of this campsite should be ashamed of themselves. They have turned a beautiful campsite into a ruin and have made many families summers terrible. They are rude and as another review said about the language they use, it is very true. I feel bad for my parents and their friends for the amount to trouble they have had to endure this summer. I am happy to say that they have decided to move on and even when they tried to "move out" they were LOCKED IN THE PARK... I could go on and on about many other things but I do not think it is necessary. I would strongly recommend NOT GOING TO GRENVILLE PARK...EVER. If you are looking for a nice enjoyable weekend or summer I would look elsewhere, it is not worth being treated like garbage by the "owners".

Negatives: TOO MANY TO MENTION, YOU WOULD BE READING ALL DAY AND NIGHT

My wife and I have been seasonal camper at the park for the past 3 years. The place has been well run and the operators and family and staff have always been most helpful and obliging. The facilities are hard to match in any other RV Park - lots of good equipment - a great "community hall" with numerous activities and great dinners on special occasions. Quiet hours of strictly enforced which bothered some "party animals" but most of them could not abide by the rules so they departed with a BIG SHOW - too bad!

Positives: - facilities
- well maintained property
- very good operators and staff
- friendly & helpful fellow campers
- some campers have been seasonals at Grenville for most of the 20 some years it has operated by the current operators - this alone is a great endorsement!

Negatives: - none

The previous ratings are so true, I could have written them myself! The lessees of this "Parks of the St-Lawrence Park" should have had their licence revoked a long time ago. Perhaps if enough campers report them to the Parks of the St-Lawrence, they will be turned down at their next five-year review! Would serve them right! They actually use the F-word when speaking with customers!

Positives: Attractive park.

Negatives: The lessees are horrible!

Very horrible experience with this campsite.
The rude staff was enough to ruin our family camping trip in less than twelve hours and put my 4 year old son in tears.
I will never go to this site again nor do i hope to EVER deal with people as rude as these people ever again. They are NOT looking for good business....if they were they wouldnt treat people that way.
We witnessed 4 families wake up and leave the morning we did because of the way these people treat and talk to you.
We were even told that we were picked on because "we were in that age group" ??? What!? What age group!?!? We are an adult couple with a child and our dog...?
I left upset, but most importantly confused....confused at how these people were so horribly rude and terrible and I still couldnt think of ONE THING we had done to deserve it.

Negatives: If i could give this camp site negative starts I would!!!

Rudest people Ive ever met! Camp site was flooded out. People are front desk sterotyped us as "young punks". When we were 26 year old parents with our 4 year old son and our dog. We god charged 30$ to have a guest and I left crying because our family vacation was ruined by this rude family. Never again. Trust me and STAY AWAY!!!

Negatives: The camp sites and the rude RUDE staff!!!!

RUDE, CRANKY STAFF! They won't make you feel welcome. I understand running a tight ship so that everyone has a nice experience but these people are just nasty. We were talking to other couples who camp there (we have 2 young children) and they were experiencing the same thing. You didn't want to look anyone from staff in the eye for fear of getting in trouble--even if you weren't doing anything! The whole atmosphere is oppressive. Plus, it is next to a highway where cars RACE through. We were afraid to let our kids out of our sight for a minute. Plus, the Prescott bridge is right beside the campground. Trucks rumble over it at all hours so don't expect a quiet night's sleep. Like the other reviewer, if I could give a "ZERO" review for staff, it wouldn't be low enough.

I am trying to find as many places to review this campground as possible. One other site says my comments will be immediately deleted if I say anything disparaging or negative about the owners. That is distinctly unfair because that is the SOLE reason I wouldn't stay in this campground again and people need to know WHY. Thank goodness for sites like these that let you tell the honest truth about the people who run these campgrounds because it can be the most beautiful campground around and have 5-star amenities and it can still be the worst camping experience you'll ever have because of who runs it.

Positives: Nice view of the river.

Negatives: TERRIBLE STAFF! OPPRESSIVE feeling all around the place.

My husband & I were campers at the park for 15 years in the same site. We had no problems with the park or the staff. I worked for 32years with the public & the saying THAT THE CUSTOMERS ARE ALWAYS RIGHT IS NOT TRUE. So the staff got upset sometimes with the public, so what, they likley had good reason too.The people who wrote the other reviews & complaining about thing did not have the guts to sign there name. The traffic is too fast on the highway we know . Albert & I went to each camper 4 years ago & had them sign a petition to get the limit lowered & Coopers took it to the people involved & they would not lower it SO WE TRIED. If you do not like camping at Grenville Park, then go somewhere else. Life is too short to complain & not be happy.
