Carmello's Italian Restaurant ( Dining / Italian ). Located at 300 Sparks Street, Ottawa. Fresh pasta's, thin crust pizza, grilled vegetables, and grilled fish and meats abound on the stylish menu. A selection of ten micro-brewed draft beers are featured along with a fabulous Italian wine list from their special wine cellar. The tiramisu is to die for. Carmello's was chosen as the Best Italian Restaurant in 1998 by readers of the Ottawa Express.

Canadian Museum of Civilization ( Art & Culture / Museums ). Located at 100 Laurier Street, Gatineau. The Canadian Museum of Civilization has roughly 25,000 square metres (270,000 sq. ft.) of display space, spread over four floors in its Museum Building (formerly the Glacier Wing). The galleries house a mix of permanent and changing exhibits. Also in this wing is an IMAX ® theatre. Outside the Museum building itself, there are various outdoor exhibits that are accessible when weather permits.
