The large Victorian home presents an appealing architectural presence as a neighbour to the impressive Lennox and Addington courthouse to the west. The Gothic and Italianate revival style features suggests that the house was built circa 1880. Much of the original interior woodwork also remains and is reminiscent of the elegance of the era. The architectural form and details of this house implies an overall sense of balance, stability, permanence and tranquility, which is immediately apparent as guests enter.
