We had a great time, because the new management are super. The grumpy old will be gone completely when certain issues are addressed.
Positives: Very friendly staff. The staff are continuously cleaning, they even pickup the smallest paper that has been dropped by campers.
Negatives: There is a limited number of full service sites. But this going to addressed when the sale of grounds is completed.

This campground was in the midst of being sold, we had a very large gathering, the new owners were very welcoming, helpful and willing to provide assistance. They made sure that everyone was invited to the events that were being put on by the campground, since we were holding such a large event with people of all ages we rented a tent and set it up in a central meeting area. The staff provided additional picnic tables to keep everyone out of the sun.
The management were apologetic about the washroom facilities and let us know that the plan was to have them replaced next year as they were just taking over.
It was very convenient to be so close to town and golf course.
Having stayed at other campgrounds comparing the value is definately positive.
Positives: Friendly staff and management, large central area, on river, convenience store, close to town, shaded sites.
Negatives: Washroom facilities

I loved it it's pretty remote in the woods. The owner? He is a good man but people from the city make fun of hom so makes him act retarded sometimes. He was sush a nice.person to me and my wife and always came by to check on us if we wore ok and people surrounding us. Now the biggest problem here is not the owners or the place. It's the younger people that camp in the park. Chicks screaming like they're Bering raped and fucking people screaming all night and not giving a Fuck about the rules of the park makes the old man mad and then that's when he starts to act up. They're selling the place and show little interest in business bcouse of it. I rate it 10 because it was pretty good due to the circumstances

It seems a sin that nature should be subjected to such a human experience. The owner not only was rude and disgusting, but the creep value is not be ignored. This man drives around at 3 am blaring patsy cline scaring people emotionally, like he is trying to act out his own personal budget horror movie; not our idea of a good time. Totally screamed at us when we were leaving as he did not want to seperate the one newpaper from the few bottles we had in our recycling bag, like what a nut...who does that, and in front of my children using every swear word he ever learned, I thought his head was going to pop off. He is not a small man, so the threat of heart attack seemed imanent. What a trip, I am glad that I have a sense of humour, because it was definetely needed at this place. AVOID AT ALL COSTS......NOT AN ALTERNATIVE TO ARROWHEAD....REPEAT NOT AN ALTERNATIVE......
Positives: the water falls are nice
Negatives: everything that has been touched and/or modified by Owen. The bad nightmare you always had about things that creep around in the swamps of the deep south are here.
