Nightmare at Dreamland
This campground has nothing to do with dreaming except for its location. The owners of this campground are miserable and certainly not camper friendly. We had a confirmed reservation by email for the fifth wheel in the lower field but just before arrival was informed that we could not park it down there. Strangely enough, there were some fifth wheels already parked in that area. They have different rules for different people. The owners are money hungry and all camp fees are to be paid in cash upon arrival. They even charge $25.00 to put your canoe in the water. Our family will not camp there again. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Positives: Location on the Trent River is beautiful, pool is very clean and well maintained, beach is nice for children
Negatives: Owners bad attitude

Made reservations for a camp site over the telephone and spoke to the son and he indicated the price and explained that it was inclusive of all taxes. When we arrived at the campground from a long drive over 4 hours this was not the case. She was trying to charge the taxes for the site and become very RUDE and used body language. Campers BEWARE this is not your usual friendly family owned campground. It was such an awful experience.
Negatives: RUDE wife and husband which are the owners. Would not recommend.

The worst camp ground I have ever been to because of the owners. Very unfriendly, and rude. Beautiful spot but the people that own the campground need to get a attitude check. Beyond RUDE!!!!
Negatives: Not organized, the wife owner was VERY rude!!!! Would never stay there again. Their children are just as rude. Showers were awful, you pay $1.00 for a 4 minute shower, and half the time the shower didn't even work right. We were there for a family reunion and the owners wife ruined it all.

We stayed for two nights at this campground and we did not feel welcome from the moment we arrived.
We stayed in a tent on a hydro site, but did not use the hydro and were still charged for using hydro.. (a fifth wheel on the no-hydro site next to us plugged into our hydro to use it).
I would have to say this is the most money hungry campground I have ever stayed at.
Positives: Location was beautiful!
Our campsite was very large.
On land beach area is nice.
Negatives: You get a RULE sheet when you arrive, however the rules are only enforced with some campers.
Swimming location is very weedy and rocky/mucky (in the water).
Female owner is a very unpleasant person.. We did not find her approachable, at all.

Worst camping experience in over 30 years of camping. Owners are totally lacking in people skills, and should never be in this business, or any business dealing with the public. They are only in it for the money, and act as if they are doing you a favour letting you stay there.
Positives: Location
Negatives: Too many to list. Lack of organisation - can never find anyone in the office, other than aforementioned 'power tripping kids' who never seem to know the answers to any questions asked, and must wait for an adult to show up. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

Never went pass the front gate... Horrible, owners power tripping children the office. Only looking for $$!
Positives: Might have been a nice place, but never made it by the front gate
Negatives: Too many to list

My experience at the beautiful Dreamland Resort was absoloutly amazing. There was many activities for the kids to get involved in, as well as older folks. They held dances, sports, and dinners etc. The pool and beach area was very cleanly kept, complete with a huge slide and water trampoline. The owners were the friendliest people, who took care of whatever we wanted. i know many campers who consistantly camp at this georgouse park every year, and they love it because of how family - oriented the park and owners are. The owners both took care of everyday needs. There was lot's of stuff to satisfy our needs in their store, including ice cream for the kids.
Positives: Family- oriented, extremely friendly owners/ seasonal campers, clean, fun to stay at, many activities, great location, organized and professional.
Negatives: no negatives, the park was beautiful friendly and well - run

I love this place for its beauty and access to the water.
Positives: Clean, nice walking trails, pool
Negatives: Owners could be more family oriented and friendly to renters. Would be nice to have a samll store. Not happy with visitor policies. All in all I would go back but would hope that owners make some changes to their attitudes.

I really like this park as far as the cleanliness, upkeep, beauty..etc. My main reason for ever going to this park is because my very close relatives have a seasonal trailer there so it is fun for us to take our camper there for a weekend visit.
Positives: very clean, organized, well maintained facility. Fun for the kids to visit the pigs and chickens. Pool is nice. beautiful scenery. Other seasonal campers kept very tidy and nicely decorated.
Negatives: The female owner. The wife has absolutely no personality. I guess if i had to describe it i would say snobbish. this starts right from the phone conversation to book. it is a real turn off. When you have a choice to go to other campgrounds who actually seem to be happy to have you there.

park owners are more interested in making money than helping the campers which pay who they forget have paid the wages and cause them little trouble for only 6 months and they very seldom have the office open and have next to nothing in the so called store like bread buns and milk so that the campers do not have to run to the town after they have been drinking or have company and do not want to run to town for hot dog buns.

Very dissapointed. Store is never open. People very hard to find. Money hungry owners. Caters to the older folks in the park forgetting about children.

dreamland resort park is very bueatiful but neither of the owners should be running the park as they are not people orientated. VERY LITTLE IS ORGANIZED PROPERLY AND VERY LITTLE THINGS TO DO FOR EITHER THE YOUNG OR RETIRED PEOPLE. AS THE OWNER WOULD SOONER KICK YOU OUT OF THE PARK THAN SOLVE A PROBLEM. WOULD NOT RECOMEND THE PARK TO ANY ONE WANTING TO CAMP AND HAVE FUN.
