Located on the shores of Eagle Lake in the Highlands, the stone and timber mansion offers beautiful lakeside rooms, most with whirlpool bath and fireplace. 16 chalet-style accommodations offer a more secluded retreat just steps from the main inn.

Sir Sam's Inn, a couples resort and country inn, offers a variety of accommodations, all with a magnificent view over looking Eagle Lake. Many rooms feature walkout decks and patios as well as whirlpool baths and wood burning fireplaces.

Back in Touch - Stroll through acres of pine and hardwood forest on a nature trail or cruise the crystalline lakes in our classic fantail launch. Feeling energetic? From our beach you can water-ski, windsurf, sail, kayak, canoe and swim. We also have tennis and mountain biking ideally followed by a whirlpool or sauna. In fact, our spa services include a range of treatments to soothe, relax and refresh - essential for a true holiday.

And the Food. Nature's gifts are also celebrated in our dining room and wine cellar.

Our kitchen is consistently rated one of the best north of Toronto always serving a fresh choice of delectable appetizers, entrees and desserts daily.

Visit the cellar before dinner and select from the extensive collection of wines or join us for one of our regular tastings. After, Gunner's Pub for a little billiards, darts or a beverage. Or perhaps coffee and dessert on the veranda.

If you're looking for luxury accomodations, a relaxing atmosphere, pampering, and outstanding food, Sir Sam's is the place to go. We always enjoy our stays at Sir Sam's. As far as I'm concerned it is the most romantic Inn in Ontario.

Additional details

Water is nature's most essential element. We connect with water for relaxation,
invigoration and for its healing properties. For centuries, cultures all over the
world have believed in the power of a soak in water rich with trace elements.

Sir Sam's new WaterSpa will embrace you in warmth to soothe muscles, alleviate pain and provide relief from numerous ailments and conditions. It will also feature sensory stimulation with underwater music, tonal rhythms, lights and selected projections to sustain you in a dream-like state as you float in body temperature salinized waters. The WaterSpa circuit, coupled with a full menu of spa favorites will be sure to relax and delight you with a unique take on the spa experience.

Dining at the Inn:
Our Twin Fires Dining Room is open daily as follows:
Breakfast………….8:30-10:30 am
Dinner……………6:00-8:30 pm
Dress is casual.
Special Dietary Needs are happily accommodated with advance notice of your requirements. For those interested, we have light lunch, available from 12:30-1:30. Sir Sam's is fully licensed.
