This place isn't for everyone. If you want a quiet, slow-pace, do nothing get away then this place is perfect. One thing important to me with a camping/cottage trip is enjoying a campfire every night. This place is very campfire unfriendly. None of the nine cottages have campfire pits. Out of nine cottages they have 3 campfire carts that must be shared. So you have a 1 in 3 chance of getting a campfire everyday. They supply the wood because they do not allow you to bring your own. They supply a small amount of kindling wood for about 1 - 2 hour very small fire. Fires must be out by 11pm, must be put out with water no matter what. I was even told by the owners they don't like and don't want campfires at all. I think they are in the wrong business. Some staff are friendly, others give the impression they would rather be doing something else. I can't recommend a place when you say hello and they look at you and walk the other way. The cottages themselves are clean and have been modernized. Appliances were clean. BBQ provided too. No where to go fishing. The "Sandy Beach" is really small, don't let the name fool you. I encountered many local residents during my time and most really don't like outsiders. Many where rude and unwelcoming to those were not from the area. Overall my time here was ok, but I will not go back. There are plenty of other places to stay at.
Positives: Clean cottages, appliances, grounds.

High speed wireless Internet.
Negatives: Campfires, you basically can't have one
No fishing anywhere, unless you have a nice boat
Some staff are grumpy
Small area for kids to play.
Area locals unfriendly to visitors.
BBQ's all needed new burners, hard to cook on.

Not a good experience. Do not stay here, only for seasonal campers, transient sites are a joke!
