You can tell by the first time driving in the work they put into this to make you feel welcome from the GM welcoming you until she said come again, we have never experienced this kind of hospitality in a trailer park, we will definitely return my children had a great time

I had a terrible experience from the time I tried to book a site until I left Knight's Beach. Staff apparently are unable to read as the requests I submitted where ignored and she certainly wasn't as friendly as advertised. The park is almost 100% seasonal residents which isn't very attractive. It cost me $72 which was disgracefull and not worth the price.

Positives: Nice lake location.

Negatives: Everything was negative.

open patch of grass with random fire pits and large trees, no site dividers or realy any clue as to who should be where for tents.
washrooms were clean enough - need maintenance and repair - cleaner did a good job with what she had.
beach was nice and raked in am.
However the campground had a large "party" on Saturday evening which is a nice idea but the party continued well past the 11pm "Quiet Time" that according to the sign was "strictly enforced" although not this evening - people were loud and drunk leaving the party around 1:30 to 2 am walking through campsites, then a group of ladies a few sites away decided to continue the party until after 4am - bumping into their neighbours trailer on a few occasions - sounding like they were sitting on a chair right outside our tent for most of the night - cursing and talking about things very loudly that are far from appropriate for a "Family Campgound" - we were kept up all night mananged only a hour or two from 4-6am when the kids started to wake up.

Positives: Nice beach
close to the city

Negatives: security not enforced
loud partying till almost sun up
open grass patch for tents - trailer sights small and packed in.
firewood very overpriced

I can tell you after our experience this weekend we will never be returning to this park!
Bathrooms are in very poor condition. They are kept very clean by an extremely hard working and friendly woman who is a wonderful ambassador for the park. She listened to every complaint and was very patient even though the issues were out of her control. At the point I went to showered mid afternoon on Sunday. There were 5 toilets out of service at once, one shower out of service, one with no shower head (just a pipe running out of the wall and the last one you took your chances on. Low water pressure and cross your fingers for hot water. A young man kept trying to fix the issue, but little improvement was noted the entire week end. I can understand sometimes things happen, but what upsets me is this is a very pricey park. I have seen no significant upgrade to the washrooms in the last 18 years. How about some money put back in the parks infrastructure.
On the Sunday evening there was a schedule event in the local restaurant/bar it was after 2:00 am until the amplified music ended. It felt like there was more focus on running a night club than a family camp ground.
When we had stayed in previous years there was a strict no music after 11pm rule. This is not the case at all. There was a group of 20-30 people who brought and played very loud amplified music at their site until 4 am. No Security at all in this park was visible. At about 3 am other campers were yelling in disgust and frustration at this group and the music just got louder. I heard a rumor that something happened to the security guard making him unable to do his job that night. If that was the case, where was Management? There was a young man outside my tent, passed out on the road with no shoes and no idea where he belonged. He discovered by other campers who attempted to help him. I heard two different fights between very drunk males. There were many other goings on that happened that weekend which I did not see firsthand so don’t feel I should document them.
In the end I want to say …..They call themselves “Knights Beach Resort” this is no Resort!! This is not a family park, please look elsewhere. There are many other beautiful beaches in the province, skip this one.

Positives: The beach is beautiful and clean. Boat Launch is excellent.

Not enough privacy. Did not like being grouped together. It was hard to find a washroom so my friends and I used the one in the restaurant but even then it wasn't open all night. There were a lot of dead fish on the beach too. The beach didn't seem very clean (garbage, sticks, dead fish, etc everywhere).

Positives: Good food and close to Hamilton

Negatives: No privacy, not a clean beach.

Best place I have ever been to. The owner Dave Wasserman is simply the best, he showed us around and we noticed how involved he was with cleaning the facilities. He was everywhere ensuring top quality. Marlene the manager was also excellent, very helpful and friendly.

Positives: Loved the beach very family oriented, roads have been resurfaced, new basketball court, restaurant food was great and it has a new name the Surf Shack.

Wow, the staff are fantastic..we got an enthusiastic greeting when we got to the front gate. The staff are gorgeous and after quickly getting our card went to a large spacious site. The beach was fantastic. We noticed that it was cleaned daily by the owner himself.

Me and my mother had our first experience at a private park this year.I have to say we enjoyed this experience more then a provincial park less noise and we loved how well it was maintained. The washrooms were spotless for the amount of people that use them in this resort.

The outside patio we had a wonderful perch dinner and a glass of wine

The stay was clearly a relaxing one,we will be returning next year but this time the trailer rentals will be our choice to stay in

Positives: She grounds the flowers from the front office throughout the park was beautiful

The staff was very friendly and represented the park well

No dogs on the beach

Negatives: More garbage containers in the park

Small business owners could take lessons from this outfit on how not to run a business and create customer loyalty. From the $10 admin fee that "every campground in Canada" charges to an owner who quotes policy as if they weren't the ones who created it and can change it.

There are many other business's in the area, Sherkston Shores is one example, that will earn your business, not expect it.
