You must be kidding! My 80+ yr old parents stayed here this weekend for a family wedding. Two nights, one dinner, two breakfasts. $800.
Two single beds, had to call for a table in between for dad's PAP machine. No phone. No TV, just old one up high with 11 channels on a nob. No fridge. No suitcase rack. Two towels, two facecloths, one tiny bar of soap. No room service, wet towels when they came home Saturday at 10pm. Couldn't open the balcony door. Couldn't open the bottom drawer of single dresser.
Positives: Nice view.
Negatives: See above. Do not stay here if you expect normal hotel services, like towels and a phone. They should get a refund on this whole two-day stay.

On August 5 and 6th, 2006, my husdband and I shared accommodation at the - Buckhorn's Westwind Inn on the Lake, Cnty Road 36, 61 Gallery on the lake Road, Buckhorn, Ontario, K0L 1J0 Canada.
We we totally disappointed... had we not paid (with cash) prior to seeing the room we would have left just based on the reception we received upon checking in.
As soon as we approached the front desk for check in, we we told we have to pay in full (upon checking in and not when checking out as is the norm), and so we did, by cash since we did not want to use a credit card.
After paying, we were then given a key and was told where our room was; we immediately went up to the room expecting to see a room overlooking the lake which was reserved and paid for, but instead what we got was a room facing the woods.
We immediately headed back to the reception desk and explained that the room which was assigned to us is overlooking the woods and not the lake which we reserved and paid for and, if they are prepared to adjust their rates (which would require a refund) we would consider keeping it, if not, we wold like to get what we reserved and paid for.
We were told that they cannot make any adjustments to their rates ( I do believe it was only because they would be required to give a refund in this case - had it been the opposite, I am sure they would have only been too happy to accept additional monies), and if we are prepared to wait until a room is available they will give us something overlooking the lake.
We waited for 2 1/2 hours and was then given a room which had not been occupied for a period of time.
In that room, the shower did not work, they did not have one (1) bar of soap, the room had that awful smell from being locked up with no air and the bed spread and pillow cases along with a rag on the floor which was used as a mat was simply horrible looking.
After paying almost Seven Hundred Dollars ($700.00) for two (2) nights we found it extremely disappointing starting with the reception (lack of professionalism), accommodation, ammenities and everything in general.
They also went on to say that pets were not allowed, yet one did not have to look very far to see dogs running all around the grounds. I personally, counted at least 6 dogs.
It was nothing short of poor, we felt very cheated and robbed.
