We traveled as a group of four; two stayed at the Brighton Inn located on the same road, a mere six minutes away and the other two stayed at Cider House. However, we spent a lot of time at Cider House because it was more comfortable and the amenities were better. Our hosts at the Brighton Inn were pleasant; however, for value and service, Cider House B&B would be a better option for the following reasons: Cider House rooms offer individual air conditioning units, we found Brighton Inn's rooms to be too hot despite a ceiling fan, and central air. There's no air conditioning in the lounge area so it went unused as it was too hot. Amenities in the bathroom were limited to shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, no hair dryer. Rooms at the Cider House offered: shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer, body lotion, emergency toiletries, cold bottled water, in-room television, an outdoor patio/garden for guests, very comfortable lounge area. The garden room, (Cider House, $95/night) was bigger than the room (Room with No Name, $105/night) at the Brighton Inn. Aside from the amenities, what distinguishes a b&b is service; the hosts at Cider House, Ben and Diane, were extremely welcoming, and helpful to everyone in our group regardless of whether or not they were staying at their b&b. They provided an entry pass to the nearby Presqu'ile Park even after we had checked out, so that we could enjoy the park at our leisure and then return the pass before heading home. Should we ever return to Brighton, we would all stay at the Cider House.
