Some nice people in campground. Close to whiteshell.
Has in ground pool but cant enjoy it due to the swarms of horseflies.
Positives: Close to whiteshell lots of blueberries around
Negatives: Not on lake. Owner socializes too much with campers and after too much socializing owner becomes belligerent... Horse fly pool.. Lots of bugs as you are in middle of bush.

Property is generally ok. The pool could use an overhall.
Positives: Close to whiteshell
Negatives: Can't really enjoy the pool for the majority of the summer due to the abundance of horseflies that swarm and bite.
Greedy owner that expanded his trailer park with sub par electricity then upgraded some of the hydro and passed the costs onto existing campers. There are much nicer campgrounds to stay in and around the whiteshell. Owner socializes too much and has made innapropriate comments to guests in the past.

I've stayed at Stoney Pine for over 10 years. The location, services, and people are absolutely terrific. The campground is family orientated, and the people there are mostly long time guests. Lots of activities, excellent services, and the people there are warm and welcoming. The owners are extremely helpful and do an excellent job managing the campground. As you can tell from some of the negative comments the owners do a good job weeding out the trouble makers. Some of the comments about cameras and excessive drinking are just silly. There is a swimming pool, games room, and a dedicated group that organize fish fries, baseball, halloween night, Canada Day quad parade, pot luck dinner, fire works, poker derby, and much much more.
Positives: People, owners, activities, location, and cleanliness.
Negatives: Electricity and water services in the older section are dated, and needs to be upgraded.

2 words......LOVE IT!
Positives: The owners are fantastic people. They go out of their way to make sure everyone is taken care of. They are friendly, easy to talk to about anything and love all the kids that come to camp. The Quad trails are wonderful (hours are limited to daytime use, so no one is being disturbed. The pool, game room, public washrooms/showers, and general facility/property is well taken care of.
This campground is full of families, all friendly and respectful. Overall, this is a fantastic place to spend time in the great outdoors.

We have been staying at stony pine for over 20
Years now. The owners must be doing something right. Yes you pay a fee but does thst give you the right to abuse electricity .the owner had no problem with air on if you have pets in your trailer snd you are gone.It takes 5 min to cool down a trailer its why do you need to waste electricity. You will not find a more cleaner campground or people friendly owners. D&P you need to be a bit more respectfull. Oh by the way was so dry last yearr the owner even trucked in water to make sure we had enough, how many prople you know would do thst
Positives: Area, Owners, Activitied
Negatives: None

This place is a nice campground but the owner is starting to get stupid or greedy or possibly both
They are telling people with air conditioning that it must be turned off if you are not in the camper. Even if you are going away for a short period.
The whole point of having air conditioning is so that when you get back to your camper after being in the outdoors you have a cool and comfortable place. The rent is not cheap and to have the owner be so petty is simply an outrage.
The owner is also expanding the campground - but not the infrastructure so we all went 4 hours with no water on the last long weekend - and even when there is water the preasure is very low
Overall it is a nice place but with such a petty and greedy owner I doubt that you would want to be there long
Positives: Close to the Whiteshell park
Negatives: the owner

very, very disappointed with the owners who run the campground like a prison actually the owner was a prison guard and dont get me started with the cameras everywhere who knows were.dont be antisocila its avey bad thing dont build anything even before you ask for permission and dont hmmm dont even rent from the owners as you may come in with having fun for the summer but at the end you dont have even your own self worth anymore. just warning you all......
Positives: beautiful scenery, well treed lots, nice tenants if you mind the quading all hours and the drinking. having the full service is great and well taken care of showers and bathrooms.
Negatives: well the drinking all hours and the quading which people just drive in circles and circles and circles also being antisocial is a bad thing and, don't complain about anything not one thing gets you introuble also do everything with a all other campers I mean everything or else the ywill boot you out take it from me.leisurly drinker.
