Carberry Motor Inn

Had to stay here over the weekend for a rodeo we were attending in Carberry. The location was great as it was very close to the rodeo grounds. It is also right off the main business section of the town and close to stores, gas stations ect. The rooms were neat but the cleanliness and smell was questionable. I had booked a non-smoking room and it mostly just smelled like a lot of chemical was used to cover up smoke smell. My main complaint, however, was with the staff. Extremely rude and abrasive attitude. The door to check in for your room is hidden off to the side of the building and I was made to feel like an idiot for going in and asking where it was and then barked at to go to the correct place. Later on, the staff got the keys all mixed up and gave an extra key for OUR room to someone else checking in. Thankfully we knew this couple as they were there for the same rodeo but we had valuables in our room and that is a vet dangerous and inexcusable mistake. Again, my friends were treated rudely when they requested for the mistake to be fixed. (Yes, my friends were very polite about it before they got barked at by staff.) The food was decent, however they lost a lot of business after the other staff were so terrible. It's worth noting that the restaurant is owned by someone else and felt very bad and apologized profusely for the behavior of the other staff. It's not their responsibility, however. Over-all, it's a decent place if your in a pinch in terms of a quick resting place but I will never go back based on the customer service.

Positives: Decent food. Great location.

Negatives: Questionable cleanliness. Terrible and rude staff.
