Azilda is a community within the former town of Rayside-Balfour and was once known as Ste-Azilda, until it was discovered that there was no saint by that name. It gets its name from Azilda Bélanger, the first female pioneer of the area and wife of François Bélanger. The community borders the eastern shore of Whitewater Lake. Places to eat in the region include Algoma Tavern, 2 Thumbs Up, Chew's Restaurant, and McDonald's.

Was staying in the area on business. The room as good value for what we paid - we had got one of the renovated rooms which a huge bathroom. The bed as ok. Unsure of the quality of the other rooms in the hotel. The staff were very friendly and polite. We didn't spend a whole lot of time here but we .....
