Olde English Parlour Historic Inn And Suites was a bed & breakfast located in Stratford. The Olde English Parlour is a downtown historic inn originally built in 1870's but newly renovated in 2005. All guest rooms are located on the 2nd and 3rd floors of this historic brick building with no elevator access. Baggage assistance is available.

Located in the heart of downtown Stratford the inn features a 200-seat restaurant celebrating its 25th anniversary season this year. Located in the heart of downtown Stratford this brick structure is reminiscent of downtown England and truly completes the Shakespearean experience.

The guest rooms newly developed in 2004 and 2005 feature interesting reproduction antique furniture pieces, a warm colour palate and luxurious fabrics. A 200-seat restaurant celebrating its 25th anniversary season this year accompanies the inn. Located at street level, it consists of beautiful woodwork, stained glass and tin ceilings.

Catering to many appetites it features menus for all tastes such as traditional English fare, contemporary cuisine and a great pub and outdoor terrace dining. Pre-theatre reservations are highly recommended.

Our room was disappointing for the price but location was very good.

The hotel was a bit sad from the outside but it was under construction so that added to it's lack of curb appeal. There was no formal registration we just went into the pub and checked in there. They informed us that they had taken the liberty of upgrading us to a King Jacuzzi room which was a nice surprise. The clerk offered help with luggage and then explained the keys and access. They lock the building at midnight, so we needed the keycard and emergency numbers. Three flights of stairs later (an elevator is planned) we were at our room. Small but very clean and nicely renovated the room had a lovely new Jacuzzi in the corner that was big enough for two and a glass stand up shower in the powder room. The bed was comfortable and offered good pillows. There were also nice cotton robes for our use. All in all a surprisingly excellent room for the dollar. Once the renovations are complete I think this place will prove to be a little gem just off the beaten path in Stratford.

Positives: We got upgraded to a King Jacuzzi room. The room was clean and renovated.

Negatives: Under construction and no elevator yet. Lots of sawdust smell and entry was pitch black when we returned at 1 a.m.

This hotel was nicer than I expected and it was right in the downtown of Stratford.

Close to many quaint shops, beautiful decor, quiet.

Positives: Nice Jacuzzi tub, comfy bed.

Negatives: Didn't have 24 hour reception, couldn't check out until 9:30 am, inconvenient.
