Located at 149 Creighton Road. Within the Shubenacadie (pronounced "Shoo-ben-ack-a-dee") Wildlife Park's 40 hectares is all the wonder and excitement hundreds of thousands of visitors have enjoyed over the years.
River Oaks Golf Club
Located at Lwr Meaghers Grant. Beautiful, scenic River Oaks is one of Nova Scotia's most picturesque golf destinations. It includes an established 18 hole course and a new (2001) regulation 9 hole South course. River Oaks welcomes golfers of all levels, and offers challenges for everyone. The clubhouse is known for great homemade meals and snacks, check out our extensive menu. The kitchen also caters for corporate tournaments and special events - accommodating groups of 16 to 120. River Oaks features complete facilities, including a putting green, club and cart rentals, a pro shop and a licensed dining room. Special weekend packages are available, and River Oaks has expanded to include a lodge for overnight stays. Musquodoboit Harbour Railway Museum
Located at PO Box 303. The Musquodoboit Railway Museum is housed in a restored 1918 Intercolonial Railway station in the centre of Musquodoboit Harbour. It provides a beautiful example of our architectural heritage and an ideal home for our large collection of Nova Scotia railway memorabilia. The collection includes a caboose, a snowplow, a shunter and an old CP combination car. Also included are assorted baggage wagons, a pump car and equipment used by the people who worked on the railway. The collection features a large selection of telegraph equipment and numerous photographs, documents and books related to rail travel in Nova Scotia. Visitors are encouraged to explore the museum, and learn more about our railway heritage. The Musquodoboit Railway Museum is supported by the many hours of dedicated service provided by volunteers and the generous contributions made by private donors. Through their efforts, we are able to preserve the history of our transportation legacy for future generations.
