Our museum features exhibits on the New England Planters, local house histories, family histories as well as Avon River ecology, and geology. Our guides and volunteers are ready to answer any questions you may have. If you’re hungry for more than history, relax and enjoy a scenic lunch overlooking the Avon River at our Café. Souvenirs and locally-handcrafted gifts are available from our SeaChest Giftshop. If you time it right, you can also watch the Minas Basin tidal bore from the highest tides in the world, the Bay of Fundy.
The Spitfire Arms Alehouse ( Dining / Pubs / Bars ). Located at 29 Water Street, Windsor. An authentic British Public House featuring a Victorian-inspired nine foot high, four sided central bar with 15 import and domestic beers on draught, including cask-conditioned real ale served from an English hand pump. The Bistro reflects the seasonal abundance of this agricultural area, with three licensed dining rooms offering local and international wines, lunch and dinner service as well as off-site catering for special events. An applewood fired smoker provides diners with the opportunity to enjoy such favourites as dry-rub pork ribs, smoky pulled pork on a bun and signature sauces such as house-made, smoked, sweet pepper compote.
