Truro Golf Club ( Sports / Activity / Golf ). Located at 86 Golf Street, Truro. Truro Golf Club offers a challenge to golfers of all levels with full irrigation and with natural streams and ponds.
The 6317 yd par 71 layout has well manicured fairways, white sand bunkers, and water in play on 10 of the 18 holes.
This, along with the ever present winds off the Cobequid Basin offers an exciting challenge to golfers of all levels. Built mostly on marshland, the course is a very easy walk, but both pull and driving carts are available.
Open from mid-April through October, the course welcomes visitors and offers a well stocked pro-shop, driving range, putting green, and restaurant.
The Truro Golf Club came into being in 1903, and was the direct result of a visit to Montreal earlier that year by the late A.J. Campbell, Q.C., the man who was to become the clubs first President. While in Montreal Mr. Campbell was introduced to the game of golf by his brother, Dr. Gordon Campbell. So impressed was he by the game that on his return home he brought with him a "mid-iron" and two golf balls. A meeting was held in Mr: Campbel's office on October 29, 1903. The Truro Golf Club was formed with Mr. Campbell as president.

Engine Room Pub ( Dining / Pubs / Bars ). Located at 166 Esplanade Street, Truro. The Engine Room opened its doors April 4, 1974. In March 1993, present owners Jim and Bernice Rowe purchased the Engine Room in its current location.
