While in Montreal Mr. Campbell was introduced to the game of golf by his brother, Dr. Gordon Campbell. So impressed was he by the game that on his return home he brought with him a "mid-iron" and two golf balls. A meeting was held in Mr: Campbel's office on October 29, 1903. The Truro Golf Club was formed with Mr. Campbell as president.
