This hotel has some nice amenities (free breakfast, fitness center, hot tub, cable, wireless internet) but is located near the highway. You can hear the cars and trucks at night. The hotel is located near a popular truck stop (Dysarts) so many of the other guests were truckers who got up early and started their trucks, which made a lot of noise. Some of the truckers smoked right near the door to go into the hotel so as a single young woman, I felt just a tad bit uncomfortable walking through the second hand smoke to enter the hotel and go to my room. The hotel staff was nice, however, but the maids pretty much ignored me and didn't even say hello in the morning.
Positives: Free breakfast & indoor hot tub & fitness center.
Negatives: Located near a truckstop and many of the other guests were truckers.

The motel room was old, but clean. However, the room had a strange musty odor, like your grandmother's old wooden dresser--damp and musty. Across the highway is a huge landfill site that has a very unpleasant odor if the breeze is blowing a certain way. Sickening really--huge turnoff, which is a shame, because I am sure this motel must have been really something in its day. The room was convenient for us with our dog, as it was ground level. Another plus about this motel is that wide paths were mowed in a bordering field and the dog really liked walking on the long and meandering path. I thought it was a bit much to charge us $10 for the dog and another $10 for my 21yr old daughter who stayed in the room with us. The public areas were well-cared for, clean and pleasant. The breakfast was second to none and the hot tub was absolutely wonderful.
Positives: The room was quiet, the pool was heated and clean, the breakfast was wonderful.
Negatives: The room smelled musty, the pool had too much chlorine, a landfill close by.

This is just an ok hotel. Nothing fancy, clean room, business center, and continental breakfast.
Positives: Nice exterior.
Negatives: Motel feel- 2 entrances to room- dark hallways to room.

This hotel is not for those who require or expect luxury or nearby shopping and amenities, but overall, this was one of the friendliest, most accommodating places we stayed in our 14 night trip. It was several miles from Bangor, but had easy interstate access. The business center was small but had everything we needed - free! The giant cookies at check-in and the short bios of the US Presidents' wives in the hallway were unexpected treats.
Positives: Great hospitality, quality continental breakfast & cookies at check-in. Free computer, internet, printer access.
Negatives: 3rd floor room had only a skylight in a low, slanted ceiling.

I will stay there anytime.
Positives: Breakfast was excellent. fresh and hot.
Negatives: Distance to Downtown Bangor.

Dated facility right off of major highway. It works if only staying one night. Staff quite helpful. Rooms had a smell cannot really describe the type of smell you find in older facilities.
Positives: Location.
Negatives: Room was smelly beds old and uncomfortable.

Fair value for budget hotel.
Positives: Good value for budget travel, good gym and there was a breakfast included.
Negatives: Bit isolated from town, road noise from nearby I95 for rooms on one side of the building.

I was so impressed with the check in and the cleanliness. My stay went very sour when the room above mine came into use! The noise was terrible! The walls at this hotel are paper thin as far as noise goes. I asked for a different room at 12:30 A.M. and was told none were available. It made for a very long night and ruined my stay.
Positives: Cleanliness, efficient check in Spa.
Negatives: Noise level from other rooms and room overhead unacceptable.

Not bad for the price. There is nothing in Bangor. Just went for grandson's basketball game. Workout facilities were good, continental breakfast okay, lounge not too good.
Positives: It was a convenient location at a good price.
Negatives: There was only a skylight window in the room and bathroom was very small.

Helpful staff, great rooms, outdoor swimming pool, location is the only downfall, being slightly out of the way.
Positives: Very nice rooms, great outdoor swimming pool.
Negatives: Location - next to highway.

A great hotel for the price. An interesting concept with the presidential theme. I highly recommend this hotel based on the hotel staff alone. They were so friendly. The room was small but well equipped with a four post bed and a fire place. We will go back!
Positives: The staff was amazing! A family run hotel that makes you feel like family.
Negatives: Room was beautiful but small.

Overall, the room was nice. Of the three different hotels we had to stay in this weekend, the Whitehouse was by far the nicest room-wise. Location wise sandwiched between a large Dysart¿s gas-station and the local land-fill left a bit to be desired. But the cookies were good!
Positives: The view of the landfill and Dysart¿s truck-yard were breath-taking.
Negatives: The smell of the landfill and Dysart¿s truck-yard were break taking.

It was half-way for a weekend, family visit with children ranging from 1-9 years old. I would strongly suggest that you do not stay here with children. A few of the staff were friendly; however the two that we caution you about were very nasty to both the adults and the children. This is not a child-friendly spot, and this is very obvious!
Positives: The price.
Negatives: Most of the staff.

We got to the hotel around 8.00 we watch some television our children fell asleep around nine. We had dozed off when around midnight we heard thumping giggling and screaming. This lasted until 3.00 in the morning. No I was not happy nor did we get any sleep. But we stayed till the next morning feeling we were stuck there.
Positives: Leaving.
Negatives: Going there.

Stayed over Christmas holiday with wife and son. Great value for the price, super location (next to the best restaurant around), super nice staff. Right on i-95.
Positives: Super nice staff, clean rooms and good location.
Negatives: Truck noise.

The staff was very courteous and even though the hotel was quit busy, it was very quiet. It is under renovations but it is quite apparent that it will be spectacular. I booked this room for two reasons. One approximate to everything, which it has. 2 swimming pools, unfortunately is seasonal. If the web site was more accurate with this fact I would have chosen a different hotel. I did not like the fact that there was no restaurant in the facility. On check out day, the parade of staff to my room door started at 8:15 am. The maid and maintenance staff was under the impression that we had already checked out. This equals poor communication. I would recommend this hotel to business travelers only.
Positives: Very clean and quiet,
Negatives: No restaurant, sauna not working, drafty rooms.

Clean, friendly, but not the best value that I have received. Nothing special, old bedding, and hard beds. The night before I stayed at the Sheraton, which was very comfortable.
Positives: Helpful staff.
Negatives: Third floor, slanted walls, only one skylight for a window, no water pressure.

This hotel had all the great features you would find at a four star hotel. We could not have found a better place for the price we paid.
Positives: It was clean and very conmfortable for ur stay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Bangor and I will for sure stay here again.
Negatives: The pillows were very uncomfortable. No listings in the room for any restaurants and directions to get to them.
