Monte Lake provincial park was established in the mid 1950s. The park protects an area of Ponderosa Pine, with grassland along Monte Lake. It is located 47 km southeast of Kamloops, 74 km northwest of Vernon and 28km north of the small community of Falkland on Hwy 97.
